Why so little info on Bremelanotide (PT-141-Vyleesi)?

There is an astonishing lack of talk on here about a drug which attempts to address something that we talk about all the time and have zero tools to fix - libido. Now that we have multiple phase three studies to review on Pubmed and an FDA approved product perhaps we need to start gathering some patient experience. The science and MOA of this product seem sound but the online feedback (regarding men anyway) smacks of urban legend/internet nonsense.

I have ordered a vial of PT-141 though my TRT doc who has some limited but positive clinical experience with it so I will offer myself up as a research subject. I just wonder if there is anyone else on this forum who has already done so and has some meaningful information to share. It would be helpful to know things such as time to effect, duration of effect and side effects.

I have micro-dosed it and I find it to be beneficial. In watching the discussion on it over the years, my observation is that it is a nice boost for people who are already generally healthy, but it does not work permanent miracles for people who are not, and the negativity from that group seems to dominate the discussion.

Bremelanotide has been approved by the FDA and products are coming. It's only a matter of time and shouldn't be much longer of a wait to get it from retail pharmacies using insirance or compounding pharmacies with cash.

This is exactly how I am looking at this. I have done all the work. Regimen is solid. Labs are good. Fitness/body composition is elite level for my age. I have no medical issues that would lead to ED. I just think I have the libido of a healthy 50 year old and I would like the libido of a healthy 45 year old. I am looking for a slight boost not a miracle.

It's actually available in compounding pharmacies right now. I was shocked to see vials on Amazon though I am not sure how reputable to seller is.

Too on this forum peptides and those types of things really aren't well represented or under represented on this forum, this forum's population isn't really in to these things besides a few guys here and there and then they drift away some where else where what they want to do is more welcomed or the population is more centric to that specifically.

One of the other threads is here. I titrated upwards from a 100 mcg dose all the way to 1.5 mg. At this latter dose I do get the "wow" factor every time, but for erection reasons, including being woken up in the night by the rock-hard object in bed with me, thoughts of priapism flitting through my head. Disappointingly, the bump in libido is modest at best, said to be much better in women.

Edit: Sorry, neglected the other requested info. Duration: about 24 hours. Peak effect while awake is maybe six hours post-injection. No obvious side effects for me, though many report some initial nausea.

A lot of information about Bremelanotide

I know a kid I used to talk to a lot on peaks forum. He tried it. And it totally screwed him up with a major case of anhedonia. Got so bad for him he had to resort to electroconvulsive therapy.

not saying that is the norm just one cause I know of.

I had a bad experience with PT 141. It induced severe asthma type symptoms, made my lungs inflamed to the degree I had to go to the clinic. Due to my wheezing, they gave me a nebulizer immediately and prescribed inhaler and steroids.
I thought it could have been a fluke and something else caused the breathing problems. But it happened the next time I tried the PT 141 also. Maybe I'm allergic to it. But Beware.

I tried it for about a 6months. I injected subq Into belly fat. The main problem, I had with it was the timing of when it would be effective. A number of times
I would get rock hard at sex time and a number of times not but would get hard later after sex time. Very frustrating. Also it would wake me up 2 or 3 times in the am with a rock hard erection.

PT 141 I found to be amazing, inject 3-4 hours prior to when u need it to work and the sexual feelings and erections just out of this world and I was lasting for ages after I orgasmed too. No side affects either not like viagra etc.

Your experience is almost identical to mine. I was able to purchase it off of a Peptide site. The erections were rock hard and would wake me up during the night. The girlfriend is a good sport about it and would just let me do my thing to try and calm things down.

Slight nausea at the start but would fade.

Let the girlfriend try it and she said it made her much more sensitive, to the point where she was completely aware of her "parts" just from walking. We are both in our 50's.

I got some PT141, from a peptide company, well I got a couple of things that worked. But the pt141, first time using I did a .05ml, which most people was I read said they went with a .1ml to start with plus added cialis to the mix. My experience, I’ve done .05, .1 and I’ve went up to a .15 dosage. The .05 got the old man semi, .1 started doing the trick of getting it back to youthful hard. But a couple of times it was a hit or miss. But the .15ml rock solid hard. One time I did a .15ml dose along with a shot of edex. I could break a cinder block in half and the old lady was loving it. Now throughout the night I’ve had these raging hard on’s that would be so intense it would wake me up. I don’t know about the guys that took .15ml and cialis, but be advised don’t do pt141 and combine it with whatever penis injection you use. Some people says that men can go up to .2ml with mild side effects which is listed like if you’re taking viagra minus the rapid heart palpitations. So that’s my experience. But let it be known that PT141 was developed for women with low libido.

What source did you use for the PT 141, would like to try it but don't want to waste money on crap stuff.

It works well for me. I struggled to find the right E2 level for me and could always count on it to get things going whether I was high or low. But for sure if you are close to dialed in and no other issues, wifey/partner better look out! ; ) Its super effective if I do a small amount before bed. Midnight or morning fun time is best. I have noticed a difference in the stuff you can get online vs the RX. The RX is of course way expensive but is much more consistent and I can take less. The thing is though i wouldn't say it helps with desire if you don't have it BUT getting good random wood can do wonders for your desire, so there's that. It not gunna fix any plumbing problems or damage from a bad diet so get everything else on the right track and get yourself some of this as a reward -its worth it. Don't abuse it.. once every couple weeks or special occasions.
The only drawback I've seen are flu like symptoms if I take too much.. kinda achy all over and lethargic. The first time or two I had nausea a bit after injection but no longer experience that.
Oh and I've had some of the best sleeps while on the stuff as well, which is actually a plus. Love sleeping till noon like when I was a kid instead of feeling like i have to get up and attend to everything. But thats a drawback if by chance you just have to "adult" that day ; ).
For those that don't have success during the day, try it at night before bed or try a dose early pm and then another smaller one late evening and see what happens. Its sometimes a fickle thing and I think it has something to do with if you're a bit keyed up or more relaxed. Pairing it with 5mg of cialis is quite good as well.

I used Melanotan, which is basically the same thing. Usually shot it before bed as it causes a little stomach discomfort, but you wake up ready to go, stiff and thick. And with Melanotan you get a savage bronze tan. I haven't shot it in a while.......need to get more.

A caution and a question:

- While I agree with the positives here, for me the tanning affect is so extreme as to be a negative. I got very dark with fairly limited sun exposure and I seem to be retaining some strange coloration. Anyone who spends a lot of time in the sun would be in danger of at least a severe farmer's tan and I would guess it could impair Vitamin D production. I won't be running it again in the summer.

- And a question...there was a study in mice that suggested Melanotan II may have CVD protective affects, which would be plausible given sunlight's benefits. I have not been able to find anything that clarifies if that might also be a characteristic of PT-141 also. Curious if anyone can shed some light on that.
