I wanted to do a poll to see where most men feel best in general once finding a treatment plan that works. It seems more people on the forums are moving to lower doses and feeling better.
Option 1-400-599ng
Option 2-600-799ng
Option 3-800-999ng
Option 4-1000-1200ng

It can be but nonetheless asking to see what range most guys that are dialed in are at regardless of other variables.

In essence depending on ones SHBG what TT does one need to achieve in order to have a healthy FT.

Unfortunately most have not ran trough levels in all of the ranges you listed so how can one truly say whether they felt best at 400-599 ng/dL - 1000-1200 ng/dL?

You have many men on one end of the spectrum starting low/slow eventually increasing dose to where they feel optimal and on the other end the ones starting high and have never tried lowering their dose as they think they feel optimal and than there are the men in the middle who have actually tried lowering or increasing dose trying to achieve optimal.

That’s makes sense madman but basically whether one has titrated up or down isn’t what I’m asking. I’m just trying to see where the majority of the men are feeling good. For instance if it trends with 90% of the men falling in the 600-799ng range that would be good to know and possibly help those that are struggling to find balance. I see all the time on here and other forums where some of these docs are starting guys at 150-180mg per week and adding a ton of ancillary medications to offset the side effects. Point is if more men started lower with testosterone only and slowly worked their way up, then possibly it would mitigate a lot of issues. Just trying to see a trend more than anything. For instance, I was told for years I needed high doses because I have high shbg in the low 70s at times and I’ve found I feel best in the 600-700ng range with free t 11-14ng. I achieve this with once weekly dose of 64mg and no other meds.

This point needs to be stressed to all men considering trt/currently on trt!

It's fine as long as guys aren't making chasing a number the goal (which I think is our default as guys a lot of the time, so no judgement).
The goal is symptom resolution and the number is what it is.

I started at 500 and slowly worked my way up to over 1500 and now I'm back down to about 1100. I feel I am completely dialed in. But t r t definitely is a personal thing, my shbg is a little bit higher plus I never had any estrogen issues.

I wonder if it takes some time at that "magic" level to feel good. Maybe people won't immediately feel good at each level and it takes some time to adapt?

I was at 1300, and at 690, I didn't feel a lot different. I don't think I can predict by my feelings what level I am at. But I didn't stay at 1300 for very long.

It does take time before I feel the difference when changing my protocol. I usually don't feel any different for the first 12 week. So when I have labs I like to wait at least 12 weeks after making changes.

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
