I will try the 50 mg twice a week for a few weeks and first see what the labs say before I make changes.

That's not how thing game is played, it takes 6 weeks for testosterone blood levels to reach a stable state after changing dosages and injection frequencies. You would do well to run the hell away from your incompetent doctor, some of the things he's saying are absurd and have already been proven false.

There are studies out there that have disproven everything your doctor is saying, your doctors understanding in TRT is outdated and so is your doctor.

By a few weeks I meant the time frame of repeating labs in 6 weeks to 2 months. Per her orders. There is nothing incompetent about that.

Thank you. My doctor explained the shots have a higher risk for cardiovascular disease vs creams but on people that may already have possible cardiovascular issues like narrowing of the arteries. If this is the case how can one know you can safely start? I am 45 and have always had high cholesterol but take a statin. Yet no telling what is really happening aside from good overall labs.

I was referring to this post.

I see. You had quoted a different one. She said T should help prevent CV disease but for people who have already CV disease shots can make it worse. I don't know as that is just an opinion like any other opinion. I will just continue the 50 mg twice a week and see how my levels are. That is a good start and she was the one to mention this protocol and that's good to me. Start easy.

Use an easy touch syringe 27g 1/2 inch and you'll have no worry's about scar tissue.
My doctor had said since I plan on doing the thighs it has to be ay least 1 inch long to reach the muscle. My thigh though is sore because I had gotten my first shot in office with a 22g 1inch. I'd like to inject thighs but avoid soreness.

Don't use big harpoons like a 22 gauge 1" needle. Unless you have a huge amount of fat on our thighs you can use a small insulin needle like @Vince said 27 gauge 1/2". Don't inject at an angle, do directly into the outer thigh/quad, the vastus lateralis.

1/2 inch will reach thigh muscle?

Yes, it reaches mine and many others. Are you lean or do you have layers of fat? When you poke your thigh with your finger do you feel muscle or does the tip of your finger sink into a layer of fat?

When I poke the skin goes in of course but feels hard when pushed in.

I think a 1/2" needle will be fine. You can use a 5/8" which is a little longer or you can use the 1" if you want. I would not go longer than a 1". More important than the length of the needle is the gauge of the needle. The lower the gauge the thicker the needle is. So a 22 gauge needle is much thicker than the 27 gauge needle. It is the gauge of the needle that determines the size of the hole you are creating.

Well I may just stick to what the pharmacy gave me which is 25g 5/8. They gave me a different size then what dr mentioned. Should I stick to what I have 25g 5/8 or exchange for 27 5/8?

The 25 5/8" will work but I think in time you will want to move to the smaller 27 5/8" or 1/2". They are really cheap and you can probably get 100 for $12 to $15.

Thanks for the info. Since I currently have 25g 5/8 I'll stick to that. I figure 5/8 puts me in the middle not too short or too long. Again I can use 5/8 on the thighs twice weekly and still avoid scar tissue?
Yes you will avoid scar tissue.

Do I need to pull the plunger back some to see if there if blood going in to make sure I didn't hit a vein? What happens if I inject on a vein by mistake?

You can aspirate with the syringe if you wish, is pretty easy to aspirate on the thigh. Most men on trt don't aspirate.
