Haha. Honestly thats what I thought myself and was freaking out while I was doing it the first time with a standard razor. To my great surprise it was the easiest thing to do, I've only ever nicked and drawn a tiny bit of blood twice within the year I've been on this cream. Just gotta get over the initial fear lol.

Question for cream users, does one need to keep balls shaved for everything to work well?

Yes, and they need to be dry especially if you apply after showering.

See I didn't do any research on varicose veins because I was always going by what all the doctors said to me, that they are superficial and arent threating. Thanks for letting me know the truth, I will be doing some research now.
I always wanted to get surgery done on my legs Anyways just in case but the doc kept insisting alberta health would not cover it so I didn't go through with it. I've had them since I was a teenager and I'm 37 now and they are very much worse than ever. Should have known better I guess. My legs get insanely ichy and I'm getting red spots all over and around the veins covering alot of my calf. I wear compression pants alot but definitely not every day and I haven't found it helped anyways.

What insurance does here is if it is venous insufficiency, it is classified as a health issue and insurance will cover it. It you are just trying to get rid of smaller veins so the leg will look better they will not cover it. The DVT, unfortunately never goes away. So I have to take blood thinners now. This has helped the vein to open so blood can flow, but they tell me it will never be normal again. I also still have some mild swelling of the whole leg that they also say will not go away.

I've shaved and not shaved and got good results with the cream either way, so I would say no it is not 100% necessary. Though shaving certainly makes it easier to spread the cream.

Wow man sorry to hear that, I thought they'd be able to do surgery or something. I'm making an appointment so I can see a specialist about it, I'd like to look into it a bit deeper now. Appreciate the help man.

Apparently the vein has opened up enough on its on, so blood flow is good and there was no need to open or remove the vein. I have been doing some work on the stationary bike and it has also helped blood flow. I go in to do another ultrasound and I will ask if it has improved.
