This is Weird! Testosterone Scrotal Cream vs Injections

This is what happened

Injection alone - Doesn't do shit for me no matter what protocol

Cream 2x a day - Felt Amazing, but due to horrible hair loss I stopped it but it was a miracle

Cream 1x a day - Felt great, not as great as 2x. Say about 75% of what I felt on 2x

now I'm doing injection + CreamScrotum - I'm not even feeling as good as I did with cream 1x a day. Still better than injection alone but not much better

It almost seems like injections just mess something up in the system, maybe low SHBG guys shouldn't have stable levels??? Because when I did injections the only other time I felt good was when I changed my dose, I'd feel good for a week or two then once bloods stabalize I'd feel like hell

SHBG - 10-13

Would you be able to roughly sum up the study?
The authors include these highlights:
  • Dihydrotestosterone significantly reduces basal cortisol secretion in male and female rhesus monkeys
  • Stimulated cortisol release is reduced by dihydrotestosterone only in male monkeys
  • Dihydrotestosterone plays a role in maintaining circadian changes in cortisol release in female monkeys.

I know that lowering cortisol seems like a good thing, and definitely is in some people, but I seem to see more guys already have lowish cortisol on TRT, not so much high cortisol.

I don't know the reason but some people do great with testicle cream.

Oh 100%. I felt probably my best on the cream. Was only on it for about 2 months tho. But I’d say it was probably the best I’ve felt. I’ve thought a lot about the reasons why it works so well for the majority of men, including a lot of men that never felt good on injections.

I believe Nelson's trying a Scrotum cream with low-dose injections.

Why only on it 2 months then?

I thought I might be experiencing some hair thinning, which for me is no bueno. I’m way too vain to be messing with my hair lol. I’m also not sure how comfortable I am having a DHT level over 300. It seems pretty benign, but I’d feel more comfortable seeing more data in regards to having such elevated DHT levels long term. I also had a baby, and wasn’t applying all of the cream to testicles. Was applying some to my forearms, and was a little worried about transference. I was applying some to my forearms to try and decrease DHT a bit. Lastly, and this is extremely individual, and I think most guys will disagree with me on this, but I found it pretty inconvenient to have to apply the cream twice a day. I find it much more convenient to inject EOD. So overall, it was a mix of reasons.

I also felt good on the 2x/day cream, but stopped for pretty much this reason.

That's why I did the 1x a day and it was good too, the reason why I added injection is to set a higher base so when the cream wears off by night, the levels from injection are medium at least

I would be interested in trying cream then if levels were low by the evening that might be good because at least I would be able to sleep. Thoughts?

I think it’s individual, and dosage probably plays a big part. I know jay Campbell has been ranting and raving about cream for quite a while now, and he’s always used it 1x/day. He says he only uses it twice per day if he wants to ramp up libido in the evenings, like when he’s on vaca or something. I’ve heard others say they crash too hard by the evening. And even if u crashed right before bedtime, u would take ur dose upon waking, and would have to wait a few hours for levels to raise back up. Just wondering if this would cause u to feel pretty bad first thing in the am before the am dose raised levels back up

When I tried 100mg/day (1x morning application) that was my experience - I would crash in the evening. For me, I didn't see it as a good thing but could be for some people.

Just curious, how do you feel now compared to when u were on the cream?

I've tried a few cream protocols. I feel better now on E3.5D (120mg/week) injections than I did on 1x/day cream protocol (100mg). I don't think 100mg/day was enough for me for symptom resolution.

It's a toss up between my 2x/day cream protocol (100mg AM, 50mg PM) and injections. I didn't have any HCT issues on cream and E2 was lower relative to TT. Erectile function/libido probably better on cream too.

But cream was kind of a PITA - felt like if I didn't shower before each application, it wasn't as effective. Applying the evening dose then hopping into bed with my wife always made me a bit nervous too. Also, this may be unique to my lifestyle but my wife and I do a lot of outdoor activities - not unusual to be in the backcountry for a week plus with no showers. Felt like the cream was less effective in those situations.

Fascinating. My SHBG isn't as low as yours, it's borderline low. But been on TRT for 11 years and zero improvement in libido or ED. Cialis, not much help. Doxazosin, not much help. HCG, nothing. Tried it all.

Added a little T cream and lowered Cypionate a touch. DHT shot up as did TT. but, no improvement in what matters.

How was hair loss on 1x a day? How much did you apply? Maybe I need to try this.

Besides libido/ED, what is the difference in how you feel on just cream vs combined - mood-wise, etc etc.

thanks.

Which reminds me. Another factor that worried me was how much the applying there cream to the scrotum twice a day was going to inconvenience me in the summer when I’m outside doing stuff a lot more. Plus the fact that ur not supposed to go swimming for a couple hours after applying.
