Male...gaining slight fat with cellulite in thighs all of a sudden even with normal lab results

Hi all..I have come to this forum just to ask a simple question in case anyone can have answers. What would be the reason why a few months before my 33rd birthday which was in May, have I been gaining thigh fat and putting on cellulite all down my thighs like a woman?
I ran blood tests and my Total T measured at 520 ng/dl (Granted..I took the test on slightly low sleep and was a little stressed)..E2 at 75 PMOL and Free T at 13.9 from a range of 4.5 to 19. I have not done anything different to my diet and I am gaining cellulite which is extremely off putting to say the least. My legs use to be tight feeling and now they are flabby. Even while lowering a little weight (I am not a big guy even so by any means.. 5ft6 and went from 150 to now 136 lbs) I still see the same cellulite. I also started from this year gaining fat by the arm pit region and chest.
Can anyone say for certain, if, given blood test results appear normal, can someone still be having high E2 issues? Thanks.

High estrogen would decrease fat storage, low estrogen would increase fat storage and redistribute it to the thighs, hips, and chest.

Maybe some DHEA would increase your estrogen a bit.

Are you taking any medications or supplements?

Really? Low estrogen increases fat storage? I must definitely research that. That is new and interesting to me. Youve given me something to research. Umm as for medications I actually take high blood pressure meds since my mid twenties (Think it perhaps maybe genetic) and I have been on Gabapentin since last year for nerve damage from a devastating bodybuilding injury I sustained to my left leg 4 years ago. As for supplements, I take ZMC (zinc..mag..calcium), feroglobin for iron and b vitamins and a low dose aspirin once a week. I recently started taking DIM about 2 weeks ago to see if it would flush out or balance estrogen better.

Have you eliminated all seed oils from your diet? Do you have any reason to think your cortisol may have increased? High cortisol can cause abnormal fat deposits (see Cushings Syndrome/Disease).

Zinc is natural aromatase inhibitor and can decrease estrogen. I recall some members taking a lot of zinc and their estrogen was undetectable. DIM can shifts estrogen metabolism.

You have the wrong ideas in your head about estrogen. By trying to balance estrogen better you have created an imbalance.

People that need to take multivitamins do so because they’re not eating the right food, have medical conditions and not getting enough sunlight.

The supplement I am recommend most is vitamin D, 10,000 IU per day. This will increase iron absorption, calcium as well as many others vitamins and minerals.

I have been outwardly as well as subconsciously stressed after my injury; that couldve played a role. Seed oils in terms of traditional cooking oils? I still use sunflower and olive oil when cooking some dishes.

Yeah, I have not been taking high amounts of zinc though. I break that tablet in half so im only getting I would say about 12 mg from the tablet itself. I was taking between 5 - 10,000 IU of Vit D-3 for years but stopped about 7 months ago. Maybe I should start back as I understand how crucial D-3 is.

Stress can certainly impact cortisol, so it sounds like that is a prime candidate for your issues. When dealing with any difficult issue however, you want have everything working in your favor, and you want most stored fat in your body to be saturated fat, not PUFAs. Resolution of cellulite is one of the things that I've heard being a result of eliminating seed oils and my skin/muscle tone has certainly improved after I got rid of the the bad form of PUFAs, however other things could be involved and it takes a couple of years. Sunflower is one of the "hateful eight" oils so replacing it with a mono or saturated fat seems prudent. Olive oil is fine in an otherwise healthy person but you might consider cutting back until your issue is clearly on the path to recovery. Also, note that industrial chicken can be very high in Omega 6.

Regarding Vitamin D, yes, it is crucial for many things, and I find that my skin tone is a bit better when I get quality mid-day sun exposure which is healthy on many fronts. Personally, I rely on the sun in the summer and D3/K2 in the winter.

As most members of this forum knows Belly fat is unhealthy fat. Below the waist is healthy fat. I would concentrate on squats and lots of walking it sure firm up any fat you have on your hips or legs.

I also had nerve damage in my right leg and tendon damage in my left leg. From when I broke my pelvis. It took me about 4 and 1/2 years to fully recover lots of physical therapy + weight training.
