Hi i am 57 years old and have been on TRT for over six months i am 17 stone and have been in the gym for the past 25 years. Although working out regularly weights and cardio i was seeing an increase in body fat as i got older. I am now on 250mg Cypionate a week subq. All my bloods are okay and i feel better than ever as when tested my Testosterone was very low which i now know is why i was always tired, increased body fat etc. My question is: I have 5 children and would rather chop off my old boy than have any more so although I don’t want more children should i start taking HCG? Are there any other benefits other than fertility?

Besides having full testicles, it can give a person their libido back or help them keep it. But no it's not necessary to use HCG with trt. Personally I think your dose of testosterone is too high, 250 mg a week. I think you should lower your dose and see how you feel.

PS I also have five kids :-)

3 months in, doc preauthorized HCG in case I want it at some point but so far I’m good without. Someone one here, I don’t know anymore who it was, called the effect fittingly ocean balls. So imagine having a bit of a swim in moderately chilly water - that’s what happens without HCG. Some people seem to have a harder time getting dialed in with it, I guess due to its hard to predict effects on E2 levels. Some people love it others hate it. Man you are on a stiff dose there. That’s probably borderline mini cycle.

I started TRT 8 months ago without HCG as it looked like it had more negatives at first and I do not need the fertility.(although I have only 2 kids:))
First I had the 30% testicular atrophy which is fine as I do not care about that esthetic, but I started to have issues with ejaculation and climaxing. The less volume made the climaxing become weird, like it was shortened, limited and no real sense of trancending the ego aka ¨le petit mort¨.

So I started adding HCG at 150IU ED but that did not do much, over a period of weeks I brought it up to 500IU´s EOD and it made me feel great and very relaxed. Ejaculation volume/strength and climaxing sense is fully restored. As I needed a 2-3 day period for the body to go back to homeostasis and adapt to the new E2 levels, I did not find any benefit from a higher dose of HCG like 500IU to 350IU EOD, so I brought it down to that.

This TRT stuff is so subjective......just try it long enough to feel it.

Interesting, this exact effect combined with awful PE is what I’m getting from Cialis for some weird reason I do not understand. Had to ditch it because of that and some other sides.
