Hi Guys:
I have a problem here and don't have a clue as to what might be the cause. Just had blood work done and was surprised to see that my E2 value is way too low(tanked). I do not take any Aromatase inhibitors.

Is there an answer as why my E2 is so low?

Thx

1. How low is it?
2. Was it the right E2 test (Estradiol Sensitive LC/MS/MS)?
3. How do you feel?
4. What type symptoms do you have?
5. How are your other labs? Can you give us more info?

Thanks for the quick response.
Here are my most recent labs. My protocol is 3x weekly MWF 66.6mg Test and 2x weekly 250 units of HCG.

You have the wrong E2 test. The one you took is for women and won't accurately measure a man's lower E2 levels. I do not see that Free Testosterone was tested nor SHBG. Both of these are needed in order to try to guide you in any direction. How about PSA? Can you post Page 2 of your lab results?

Do you have more labs than those you posted? Are you taking any medications? How do you feel, do you have troubling symptoms?

200 mg of testosterone a week is a huge dose and it shows in your Total Testosterone numbers. When was the blood draw performed in relation to your injection protocol?

If he got the sensitive e2 he would still be waiting for labs like me :)

We need to make “wrong e2 test” tshirts.

I would consider lowering my testosterone dose increase the HCG amount and supplement with DHEA and pregnenolone. Before you started trt, were you primary or secondary?

While I am aware that the clinic is using the wrong E2 test, when I first started TRT, my E2 was as high as 42.3. They do not routinely test SHBG, however I did have it tested and it was low. Sorry I don't have any numbers of the test result.

Seeing as it is the wrong e2 test.....you truly have no idea where your e2 really sits as you know the sensitive estradiol assay (LC/MS-MS) is needed.

Since you are injecting 3 x week (M/W/F).....your SHBG must be on the lower end?

What is your SHBG and have you had your FT tested?

You mention no symptoms/issues other than posting labs with the wrong e2 test showing your e2 is low?

Saying your E2 levels were high on a test designed for females makes no sense because the test is invalid.

You cannot draw any conclusions on testing that is designed for the opposite sex.

As for this clinic stating it doesn't test for SHBG is like a car mechanic saying I don't work on cars, it's absurd and it shows you how incompetent they really are.

My SHBG is on the lower end and I do much better on injections EOD or ED, it keeps estrogen more controlled and levels are more stable and this translates into feeling more consistent.

Do you want incompetent doctors in charge of your health?

I appreciate everyone's feedback/input.

Let's assume all things being equal,(just humor me)what would be the likely cause for low E2 with no inhibitors taken for high E2???

The only thing I can come up with is little to no aromatase enzymes to convert testosterone into estrogen, if you don't have any aromatase enzymes, then there is no way to convert testosterone into estrogen.

If you have a lot of aromatase enzymes like myself, you would be battling high estrogen instead of low estrogen and you would probably be on an AI.

Your E2 @ 42.3 was not high on the non sensitive test it was about perfect. 5 is crashed, so prepare for a few months of joint & tendon pain.
