On week 8 of TRT. 175mg a week, pinning every other day.
Since week 2, I’ve been experiencing sensitive nipples, it normally lasts for a few days in one nipple and then goes away, only to return in the other nipple and so on. Sometimes I’ll have slight tenderness, and a bit of aching

I take 0.25mg Adex every 3 days and 100mg P5P (which I may need to adjust given bloods)

What could be causing this given I have low e2

I’m in the uk, so I think it’s a standard test, not sensitive, I have a test booked with optimale in two weeks time which is assay, but I thought that the non sensitive wasn’t as good because it over estimates e2, so I’m guessing that my e2 must be pretty low, I expected to see a much higher number

I didn’t expect to see a higher E2 number. This was easily predictable.

Throwing in drugs, along with your TRT at the start of treatment is usually a ticket to failure. It’s always best to dial in on TRT in isolation.

I thought that the non sensitive wasn’t as good because it over estimates e2.
The non sensitive E2 test is fine as long as you don’t have elevated C-reactive protein, a marker for inflammation, which will falsely elevate the estrogen value.

I recall a few members who use both estrogen testing assays, and the sensitive essay comes back with higher values.

The E2 sensitive test is reliant on technician skill to get accurate results, the standard test is idiot proof.

Definitely ask your doctor….

My first guess would have been high E or high prolactin but you have neither. When did you do your labs in relation to your last dose? Maybe your lab values have to do with timing?

Yeah I was taking 100mg P5P and 0.25mg Adex Every 3 days, and I would have taken it 24 hours before drawing bloods, given the AI usage it’s believable to me that the test is accurate, but the sensitive and painful nips is what made me continue with the AI, so the only thing I can think is that low e2 is causing pain and sensitivity, either that or I have high IGF-1 (and that’s the cause) or it’s just random and not related to gyno
