My Own trt

Does anyone here do their own trt? I realize being medically supervised is the safer side but have read horror stories, long period for referrals, incorrect dosages, incompetent docs, but it also seems very complicated and has so many variables to control on your own, if one were so inclined.

What is it that you really want to know? Do some men self-direct their protocol? Certainly. Is it wise? In my own opinion, no. That doesn't even consider the fact that testosterone is a controlled substance in most jurisdictions - possession without a prescription is a felony. But it is done.

All of the issues you raise can be overcome, not easily, but that is one of the goals of this community.

The legal aspects of acquiring "gear" on the black market I'd advise against it. One place you won't find horror stories is with Defy, they're on the leading edge.

There are too many problems with doing your own TRT. Legal problems.....in NY if you have test without a script, it's a Schedule 2 drug. You might as well get caught with heroin. Then you have to worry about the sterility and strength of the gear you're buying. I'd rather get pharma gear where you know it wasn't made overseas or by some guy in his bathtub. Then, what if you have a bad reaction or something? Now you end up in the ER and you tell them that you're on testosterone. You have to tell them the truth, your life could be at stake. Now they'll note that you're on test without a script. Now, you're a drug abuser. What if your supply dries up? Now you're stuck without test and you have to go through temp hypogonadism while you're system tries to get back up. What if your supplier gets caught and you're in his black book? Do you want to get rounded up?

In the end, it's not worth it. There are more horror stories with self medicated, black market, off the books, under the table TRT than with dealing with some docs that want to make sure that a person really needs TRT and protecting their license.

I agree with all the sentiments above.
And even if you could get everything you needed legally (which you can't), TRT isn't always black and white.
There are a decent amount of variables and though the protocols may look simple on the surface, there's a reason that's there's medical supervision from a TRT specialist involved for the men on this site.
I've been frequenting and learning from this site for probably 8-10 months now.
Yet the amount of information and knowledge required to even begin to get a good grasp of the subject is not at all elementary, though some aspects of it are certainly more simple than others.

As mentioned above, trust your care to a true TRT specialist and save yourself a lot of grief!
There are 2 companies endorsed by this site.
I personally am under the care of PrimeBody and would urge you to call them and at least have an initial consultation before you decide to go completely rogue.

If you do it on your own, at least get proper testing. You could really mess up your health. http://www.discountedlabs.com/ But of course I wouldn't advise, doing TRT on your own.

Side note though that there is plenty of access to labs if you can afford it and then plenty of info on forums just like this one to effectively manage HRT. Crux of the issue is the legalities of it.

do you have any blood work?
Just a thought but maybe trying clomid would be better for you, its easier to get and legally not as bad to get caught with.
