Well here is my latest blood work after several weeks on no zinc supplementation.
Total Testosterone-486 ng/dl, 348-1197 range ( down from 502 six weeks ago).
Free Testosterone-6.7 pg/ml, 7.2-24 range (down from 70.1 pg/ml which does not sound right). This range is listed at 35.0-155 pg/ml.
DHEA-S ug/dl-91.9, 71-375 range.
Estradiol-16.7 pg/ml, 7.6-42.6 range (up from < 5.00 ).
PSA-1.9 ng/ml, 0.0-4.0 range (up .3 from 1.6 ).
So it does appear that with no zinc supplementation my Total T has dropped and my Estradiol is up into the normal range thus showing that zinc will stop the conversion of Testosterone to Estrogen.
We all know that zinc is good for the prostate and the increase in my PSA has me concerned. It has been between 1.4 and 1.6 for several years.
I have watched it increase from .7 since 2007.
Is this an indication to leave testosterone therapy alone or should I have further testing ?
I would appreciate any advice as to what direction to take in this matter.
