TRT help
In short: Today is my second day on testosterone gel (50 mg). I know gel isn’t the best option. I don’t feel any difference mood-wise or libido-wise yet. I know some people say it can take 3 weeks or more to notice the effects of testosterone. The problem is, there’s a detail from a study that contradicts the notion that the effects of trt takes several weeks. Study showed that exogenous testosterone rapidly (within 1 hour) increased aggression in dominant and impulsive men. https://jual.nipissingu.ca/wp-content/uploads/sites/32/2014/10/biological-psychiatry.pdfSo what should I expect to be true? I hope there’s plenty of time to expect changes. How long did it take you to notice any effects from TRT? How long did the changes take to plateau?
Edit: I’m not looking for any aggression-increasing effects from trt. I’m only referring to it because if testosterone can have any effects in such a short amount of time, it would make most logical sense to think that many people can feel any of it’s effects in a short amount of time, which I hope isn’t the case, because I haven’t felt anything yet. I hope there’s plenty of time for significant changes to take place. The more time, the better.
Here‘s my testosterone blood test results from before I started on gel:
1: Total Testosterone: 10.07 nmol/l (first measurement). Free Testosterone: 0.2113 nmol/l (first measurement). SHBG: 29 nmol/l (first measurement).
2: Total Testosterone: 10.04 nmol/l (second measurement). Free Testosterone: 0.2088 nmol/l (second measurement). SHBG: 30 nmol/l (second measurement).
Reference ranges for Total, Free Testosterone and SHBG was:
TT - 11.6-33.8 nmol/l
SHBG - 13-52 nmol/l
Calculated Free Testosterone - 0.1-0.7 nmol/l.
