Does Pregnenolone and/or DHEA raise testosterone or estrogen levels?

I’m curious as I have just begun taking 25mgs Pregnenolone from Empower pharmacy daily. I might be crazy but when I started DHEA I think my testosterone levels went up slightly. I’m wondering if I’ll have to lower my daily testosterone injection dose. Any thoughts or personal experience would be welcome. Thanks!!!

DHEA for me increased libido and ability to reach orgasm when my testosterone was suppressed due to use of Ostarine or Oxandrolone. In both cases, it did not increase testosterone or free testosterone so its sexual effects are via different mechanisms. When I used Ostarine, DHEA 25-50mg/day increased Estradiol. When I used Oxandrolone, a lower dose DHEA 10mg/day failed to increase Estradiol.

In all cases, do blood tests before deciding it increased anything, instead of relying on how you feel sexually.

Interesting. It increased Free Testosterone in the study. Ok. And I’m assuming Pregnenolone is an “upstream” hormone that converts a portion to DHEA and Progesterone but Pregnenolone doesn’t convert to estrogen. It’s the downstream effects?

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
