Does it seem like I have Primary or Secondary Hypogonadism?

Hello, I have been dealing with low Testosterone. I am a 25 year old male. I was having low energy and struggling ED lately but I thought that was moreso because i was overweight. My results are:

Total Testosterone: 165.8 ng/dl
FSH: 2.5
LH: 6.590
Prolactin: 17.37
---
Does this seem to indicate primary or secondary hypogonadism? Insights would be appreciative as I await to hear back from my urologist.

This is most likely secondary, mixed hypogonadism is much more rare. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter because you have low testosterone and you need to get it up by way of medical intervention.

The low FSH is a better indicator of secondary hypogonadism than the LH. The FSH lab test is far more accurate than the LH lab test.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
