Hi guys

I had low T (250) with some symptoms although not too bad. Saw TRT as a sort of wonder drug so started Nebido 7 weeks ago. Had my initial shot and felt 30% better for a week then just normal again. Had my booster last week (5w after first) and for the last 4 days since have been incredibly demotivated, grumpy and fatigued. In my line of work I can't afford a day off and can't afford to be demotivated. I regret starting Nebido at all.

I prefer the constant medium/low vs this tiny up and big down. Also I think if I lost the 60lbs of fat I would have a naturally higher T, so would like to try this.

Luckily I have only been on for 7 weeks or so. How can I get off? My doctor seems pretty clueless...

Thanks guys

Have you ever considered Gels?
I have been on Testogel 2 years +, no troughs & peaks like injections give you and a more natural boost similar to what your body intended as you put on first thing in morning and this wears off gradually through out day same as it would if you were not on TRT.

No 24/7 loading of testosterone, the Gel works in a more natural way where you peak in morning as nature intended and gradually wear off during day ready for next boost.

Certainly no highs or lows, just a natural feeling of good health and well being

Only 7 weeks, just stop. You should go back to your old levels in a short time.

My trough testosterone level is 18nmol/L (8.0 - 27.4), my peak level is high at the moment and looking to adjust, lower off, all my other bloods are good, very good, the only thing on the high side is Creatinine although still within limits, I believe this may be due to me taking Creatine for gym work outs.
Only other medications I take are vitamins and proteins for gym work outs. I do not take any other drugs as I have no need to take anything else as my Testosterone, psa, Oestradiol, HCT and all other bloods are within limits.

My main concern now is good diet & exercise

I'm always amazed how fast people can we cover on their own. If it was me I would just let my body recover. Do all the right things, follow a proper diet, take to right supplements and keep on exercising.

I don't believe you you will encounter any problems quiting, however you need to go about 6 month to reach steady state condition. The half life of Nebido is 33.9 days, times 5.5 is about 6 months to reach steady state.

So to really judge the effectiveness, you would have needed to complete about 6 months.

Discussion on half life.

I have speculated that one could combine short term use of a testos cream / gel with Nebido for 5 months to smooth out the valleys, but i have never tried it to see how hard it would be to get the dose right. You would need to wait 2-3 weeks after injection to supplement Nebido with a gel/cream in increasing amounts up to the day before the next injection. Never tried it, just a speculation on how it might work.

But there are many ways to accomplish TRT, do what is best for you.

Hello nebid 022,

did you have any bloodwork done? On what base do you know you are too low?
maybe your estrogen responds ans makes you feel crappy..
measuring is knowing ;)

I am now two weeks post booster and feel fine.

Just had bloods, however, which show:

Testosterone: 311 ng/dl (down from 370 10 days ago)
Estradiol (non sensitive): 50 pg/ml (up from 30 10 days ago)

The doctor has said my estradiol is too high and prescribed 25mg of clomid daily. I'm no expert, but that doesn't seem right...

I regret ever starting this and just want to go back to how I was before treatment. Any advice?

Clomid to LOWER your estradiol??? It typically raises it. Foolish suggestion.

Just when you thought you had seen it all, it shows this doctor doesn't fully grasp the basic concepts of how these medicines are used. Insurance and or state healthcare is not the answer, they are typically inept to deal with complex hormonal issues.

What you needed was a low dose AI taken at least twice weekly, but dosing on a standard estrogen test is problematic. Start very low and go slow if you resume TRT.

Why would you want an AI, you're young just keep on recovering.

Update guys.

I am having some mild gyno symptoms, mainly mild soreness in my breast and nipple sensitivity. Nothing looks too different yet but hard to tell.

I have been prescribed 10mg of nolva per day (with option to increase) and 25mg clomid. Nolva for 4w, clomid for 6-8w.

Seems sensible as a way to kill gyno symtpoms and restart natural production.

My one question: given it's only been three weeks since my booster nebido shot and 8 weeks since my first shot, and the long half life of Nebido, when I stop the clomid in 6-8w will my natural production just shut down again?
