What Do 3.7 Million Reads Tell You About What Men Actually Struggle With on TRT?

ExcelMale Consensus: The 26 most-viewed discussions in ExcelMale's 13-year archive cluster around four problems: erections that don't improve on testosterone, fertility and testicular shrinkage, estrogen management, and dose. The single most-read thread, at 667,000 views, is a member's nitric oxide protocol for blood flow, not a testosterone dosing guide. That ranking tells you where testosterone alone stops working.

I pulled view counts across every thread on the forum and ranked the top 26. The result is not what most people assume.

Testosterone dosing questions are there, but they are not on top. The most-read discussion on the entire forum is Gene's Nitric Oxide Stack - a member's self-assembled protocol of L-arginine, L-citrulline, pycnogenol, icariin, and low-dose tadalafil. It has 667,000 views. Add the three other erectile function threads and that single cluster accounts for over 1.1 million reads.

Desire and rigidity run on separate systems. Testosterone reliably moves the first one. The second is vascular, and a meaningful share of men on well-run protocols still can't get a dependable erection. That gap is what 1.1 million views measures.

What the Rest of the Ranking Shows

hCG and fertility pull 418,000 combined reads. The foundational hCG thread explains the LH mechanism, but the more interesting one is Dr. Saya's two case studies, where actual serum hCG was measured after 150 IU versus 500 IU. Measured data in this space is rare. The finding suggests the common 500 IU standard may be higher than needed.

Estrogen management takes five threads and roughly 509,000 reads. Hematocrit alone draws 148,000. The sensitive estradiol test thread is the reason "get the LC-MS/MS assay" became standard advice here.

Dosing and delivery covers six threads. Why 200 mg/wk is treated as the ceiling draws 221,000 views because it sits on the line between replacement and enhancement that most men are quietly curious about. Subcutaneous injection is on the list too, and that thread predates subq going mainstream.

Two more clusters that surprised me: nandrolone at clinical doses (263,000 reads across two threads, treated as a joint and recovery question rather than a bodybuilding one) and progesterone in men (88,000 reads on a hormone that barely appears in standard protocols).

Why an Index Instead of Another Article

These threads have hundreds of replies each. The signal is in there, but so is a lot of scrolling. Each of the 26 entries on the index page has an original summary, the view count, and a direct link. You find your cluster, read the summary, decide whether to open the thread.

One thing the ranking doesn't show: the two threads new patients need first, how to find a TRT doctor and top mistakes men make on TRT, sit near the bottom of the top 26 at 133K and 88K. Men find the erection and estrogen threads after something goes wrong. The two that would have prevented it get read last.
