Trimix / Edex injection questions

I have tried Edex and Trimix, with better results on a smaller dose of Trimix. I use an auto injector, and try to do the 1-3 o'clock position. Here's my problem: too many surface veins everywhere!!

I think you're supposed to inject closer to the base of the penis, but I often have to go somewhere in the middle of my shaft to find a spot without visible veins. Do any of you guys have that problem?

I tend to bleed for a good 3-5 minutes. Not gushing blood or anything, just hard to make it stop, which is a mood killer. How do you guys handle bleeding from injections?

Finally, do you pull the foreskin back tight before injecting or just leave it alone? When flaccid or semi-erect, even though I'm circumcised, my foreskin bunches up. I pull on it as far as I can, so I am applying pressure on the right place when hard. I just don't know if that's necessary or if I am making bleeding worse...

Did I mention blood freaks me out?!

Middle is fine. I think it actually works a bit better than injecting at the base.

Using improper technique (wrong angle, depth, or site) increases the chance of puncturing a vessel.

You may be nicking a superficial vein.

Always apply firm pressure to the injection site for a few minutes which will help minimize bleeding and bruising.

Are youn taking any blood-thinning medications?

With a veiny penis you should be able to find a spot to inject even when using a 27G just need to be meticulous and make sure your injection technique is on point.

Try shifting the skin around the veins to find a spot.

Do not pull on the foreskin just place your fingers. around the tip and stretch out the penis.

Do not inject near top or bottom areas of shaft.

One knuckles length (from the base) down from the shaft of the penis.

Inject at the 9-11 or 1-3 o'clock position (90°).

Every time you inject switch sides each time.

Dr. Gross states that he uses 27G x 1/2" in the office and for home use prescribes 29G x 5/16" or 1/2" needle length which he finds are durable and tend to work best.

Thank you for the great tips!!! This is so helpful!

I don't take blood thinners but I do have some weird platelets issue that makes bleeding a little more prolonged.
