This is a great and very interesting article about work done in mice. As most of you know, I have become a very vocal proponent of using the right estradiol test and not over treating men with anastrozole since estradiol is very important for male-related function. I invite you to read this article taking into account its limitations since humans are not mice.

"Male aggression is commonly pinned on testosterone, and estrogen is credited with imparting females with maternal instinct – but the true story of the sex hormones, and their roles in male and female behavior, is a lot more subtle. Here's why estrogen is an important hormone for males and females alike."

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
