Anyone have success with HCG/Clomid?

Seeking feedback if anyone has had any success with HCG mono therapy or HCG/Clomid combo therapy for low T. I’m not worried about fertility. My doctor has recommended this as an option.
I have issues with high RBC, H&H and low ferritin on testosterone have tried, injections, transdermal and oral and have the same issue on all. Over 1 year since I have tried testosterone. Looking for other options if possible

60 year old male,
LH 1.9, FSH 5.9
SHBG 38
Total T 423
Free T 53
E2 18
Prolactin 6.3
All values per Quest Labs

Thank you Nelson. I don't post often but you are very helpful as usual.

You are welcome. Feel free to ask anything even if it has been discussed before.

We are all here to help each other.

At 67 and as I become older, I realize that I would never let go of this forum. Not only we all help each other, but I learn something new almost every day. We have such smart guys here that are laser-focused on health. I feel that ExcelMale has given me a chance to interact with fellow health geeks that I have never have had the pleasure to meet in person, and yet I have learned something new almost much from them. Too bad my world in “real time “ does not present the opportunity to hang out personally with guys on ExcelMale who are spread out around the world.

I run HCG monotherapy for a month twice per year as a reset on TRT. I feel pretty good on 1000iu MWF. I would never take Clomid indefinitely and would personally try the HCG only first. What is his suggested dose?

My doctor is suggesting 500iu 2x week to start and titrate as needed with 25mg Clomid 1xday. I am not sure about the Clomid dose.

My guess is that the HCG dose would be far to low and the clomid will cause it's own problems that don't show in the numbers.

I would think another option is to start with Clomid (or enclomiphene) only first. I had success with that for a year or two when I first started. If that doesn't work then switching to HCG, which mimics the LH which clomid is trying to increase seems like the next step. Trying to run them together seems like unnecessary complexity especially since they tend to oppose each other at the Hypothalamus.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestions. I have been diagnosed as secondary hypgonadism as my LH is low at 1.9 due to weak pituitary signaling. While my total test is not great at 422 it is not horrible for my age. My Free T is extremely low at 53 which could be driving my symptoms. I am hoping one of these options work as testosterone replacement is not an option at this point due to previously mentioned issues
