Hello I hope this is the right place I'm new here.
I self administered TRT for 8 months and decided it was too hard to manage on my own even with getting regular labs etc. it seemed like no matter what I did it would spike anxiety. I already have anxiety issues so I didn't see the benefits worth it for me plus all the headaches of trying to dial in.
I slowly lowered T injections and ran HCG before quitting testosterone. Last test injection was May 22.
I only ran hcg for 5 weeks after quitting and went a head and jumped to 20mg Nolvadex per day and stopped hcg. I felt a dip for a few days but then it seemed like Nolvadex was doing its job for little over a week. Then I suddenly got severe acute anxiety. I couldn't eat ( had to force small amounts of food into me). sleep would be interrupted with several hours of pacing back and forth. Was hard to sit still or focus on on task at work. Crazy hot flashes. So I completely stopped taking it after 14 days. Today is day 2 off it.
I ended up going to the doc and he sent me to the ER to get anxiety down and that let me sleep last night. I'm home now and symptoms are still better but not great. I'm still trying to work out a treatment plan with doctor to manage the anxiety but he's not willing to help with T recovery and he said an endo appointment would take 3 months to get in. I'm hoping the worse of it will settle out in a week or so. Doc thinks is all from the Nolvadex and he's said it's really nasty stuff and a lot of patients have horrible sides with it. Which is funny because everything I've read said it was the most gentle SERM thats why I chose it. I've just quit everything and letting my body heal. If I have to go back on TRT later I'll go through a clinic and let them manage it all because apparently I'm too stupid to do it.
I'm just looking for some support dealing with this. And curious is anyone else has experienced this. I'm hoping I did enough to jump start my natural T. I know it's still going to suck but I just need to manage these horrible sides. I got some partial labs done the other day. Just LH and free/Total T. LH came back 1.1 which is slightly below the low end. T is still pending.
Any advice or support or supplements suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And yes I'm know I'm stupid and did a lot of stuff wrong so go ahead a bash me I deserve it.
