Need Some TRT advice

I am 32 years old. My urologist put me on clomid 12.5mg EOD for low T about a year ago. It worked ok for a little while but seems to be not working as much. He gave me a script for Testosterone Cypionate 200mg to try instead with the instructions of 1cc every 10-14 days. Here is my question. What are the chances of becoming completely sterile from using the injections? My wife is pregnant now but we may want to have another baby in a year or two. Should I stay with the clomid, even though the results haven't been that great?

Sam Hi, Nelson Vergel I believe would tell you to get tested to see if you can get your wife pregnant when on testosterone, if you can't most use HCG for making sperm and penis sensitive.

Thanks for the reply. So you think its safe to start the Test now? Or should I make another appt. with my doctor and ask him about giving me some HCG?

De your doctor check your PSA? A number of members have started TRT without having that critical test run prior to starting therapy.

Yes. He did not tell me the number but said it was normal.

Sam, if I was trying to get my wife pregnant and was on TRT, I sure would be using HGC. I'm using it and I'm not trying to get anyone pregnant

If it's a question in your mind, the question of having another child, I'd postpone TRT until I'd spoken at some length to my doctor about that issue.

Ok. I will do that. My wife is pregnant now but we may want another child later so I will discuss it with him.

Your doctors is not really up to speed on TRT. If he was, he would know better than to tell you to inject every once 10 to 14 days. That is pretty much guaranteed to make you feel like hell. Try 50 mg twice a week instead to start. For your Test Cyp 200, that would be 25 IUs on the syringe twice a week.

ERO raises an excellent point. The half life of testosterone is such that you are almost certain to feel rocky by the time your next injection comes around on the protocol your doctor prescribed. I have just moved from 100 mg/week to 60 mg every 3.5 days. I actually felt pretty good on 100 mg weekly...but did notice hypogonadal symptoms a day or two before my next shot. hope to feel even better on the split-dose approach.
