Luggol's for iodine?

I had a blood work and my iodine level was near the bottom of the normal range. I also had high rT3. I got 2% Luggol's and am not sure how much to take. Last week I took 4 drops on my skin and I got diarrhea. I'm thinking one or two drops should be enough per week. On the internet some (including doctors) suggest much more, like 2 drops a day.

Problem with the lugols dosing is that a drop can be subjective. Did you do that skin test, as it were or just some on your skin to see what happened? I think there's a skin test to see how fades over 24hrs to get an idea if you're deficient, or not. THough the shits is a good barometer for having taken too much either way you go about it.

If Iodine increases TSH and that increases T4 that would increase RT3. You reduce RT3 by fixing the cause or take T3 to reduce production of the T4 that converts to RT3. When you take Iodine you should to take Selenium and Vitamin C.
