There are conditions that require or at least are benefited from lower levels of Testosterone. Any advice on how to naturally lower testosterone to a low normal?

As long as serum levels are in the physiological range I can't see how this impact psychological issues.

If elevated for longer periods of time I can see it as that is a symptom...but good healthy levels shouldn't cause a problem.

Only if you have active prostate cancer (and that is now debated) would you want your testosterone to be low. Or if you are a sex addict/offender (but that is also debatable) or you think your mania is induced by testosterone (also debatable)

Healthy levels of T are not going to cause the issues I'm referring to but with certain populations a reduction in libido (reduction in T) can allow, or at least not interfere with behavior modifications/ therapy. If we can agree just to agree on said statement, what are some natural ways to reduce testosterone/libido?

Drink lots of alcohol, take androgen blocking drugs like Tagamet (over the counter), anabolic steroids by themselves, take flucanozole (Nizoral), sleep less than 6 hours a night, and many other things not good for you. All of them will dramatically decrease your testosterone.

I don't remember where I read this but I remember a reference to another country experimenting with a potent opiate medication to reduce libido and sexual aggression in sex offenders. As we know, long term opiates reduce T. Although this type of therapy is going to lead to a nasty dependency.

A much safer method might be Spirololactone 75mg per day. This will lower androgens and at least block receptors enough to drop libido. It is a mild potassium sparing diuretic which also works as a strong anti-androgen. It will work and can be taken long term, its used for androgen induced acne in women off label. Trade name is Aldactone and its very cheap.

Yes, ketoconazole (the active ingredient of Nizoral shampoo) is an antifungal that can block DHT receptors and lower T in men not on TRT if taken orally. Exposure to the shampoo in men on TRT has not been reported to be a problem.
