Is low iron (Ferritin) a possible reason for low SHBG?

Just curious to hear some opinions on low ferritin levels having any direct and indirect effects (thyroid function, other) on SHBG.

Thyroid function, we know iron is needed for T4>T3 conversion as well as T3 uptake. But for SHBG, no, not that I've seen. FTR there's not been on person that has corrected condition X or Y and gained some appreciable increase in SHBG. Low SHBG is a rather benign condition that is demonized because people try and cram a typical TRT protocol and for that to work when a different strategy is needed. SHBG is what it is and you play it where it lies.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
