Hi:

I'm in TRT. Today I've received my blood test results. My hematocrit is very high (54.7%). I was thinking to make myself a 600 cc phlebotomy. It is not be not the first time I have been done it. It's not too much complicated for me.

It is possible to do it or is it too much quantity for one time???

Is there something I would need to know for the hours after the
phlebotomy (hydration, for example)???

It would be possible to train the day after or is it better not to do it??

I think that with 600 cc phlebotomy my hematocrit would decrease in a 3 %??? Is ti more or less accurate this estimation??

Thanks

Edit: I was the guy who wrote this post.

My hematocrit was going ok for years but for some reason it has raised a lot in the last months. I have been smoking four o more cigarettes per day. I know it is a bad practice for mantain a good hematocrit level....

Per Forum policy, we can't advise on the topic of auto-phlebotomies. The potential danger to the patient and the liability it presents to the site are simply too great.

You definitely need to quit smoking and to donate blood. You may need your doctor to write you a script for donating.
