I recently got a phlebotomy a little more than a week ago and didn't feel any different right afterwards, it was the following morning that I woke up freezing cold and glucose doubled literally overnight. I checked ferritin about two month prior and it was 89, 10 days after the phlebotomy ferritin was 99.
It went up, not down as I had thought. I have fully recovered at this point but just don't understand what happened. The hemoglobin was 19.2 and the hematocrit was 57% prior to the phlebotomy, after the phlebotomy hemoglobin was 17.5 and hematocrit 51.2%.
Any ideas why I felt so cold and why my diabetes worsen if only for a short time?
Thanks.
