I'm sure some folks on here will chime in with better answers but

Are you on aromatase inhibitor? If so it diesnt appear you need to be.
Alcohol increases estrogen.
Soy can increase estrogen.
Weight gain.
Increase T levels.

Obviously some of these aren't healthy so hopefully some folks will have better ideas!!!

Got my results back .....

FSH- 12iu ( Range 1-10 )
LH- 5 iu ( 1-10 )
E2 - 0
Prog - 0.6nmol ( 1.2 - 4.8 )

ATP - 34 ( <60 )
AT - 30 ( 60 )

Got a new doctor also, so after a lengthy consultation he feels with all my results coming back good to excellent, he feels that I have a vascular problem to my old fella so has put me on Cartia 1 tab every day for 3 months ...he guaranteed that it will improve my problem ( morning wood ) ...as for TRT no chance of getting on it

any idea's guys why it would be ZERO wtf :-(

Hi BM's

Firstly let me say this is a really informative website. Secondly I am all new to this TRT stuff so sorry if I sound a bit "dumb".

Here is my story..I am 50yrs old,6ft1 and 100kgs( was 115kg) I have had no libido, sex drive or erections ( without Viagra) for a few years now. I cannot remember the last time I had a morning wood. I had my bloods done last week and yesterday received my results as follows... Here in Australia we have a different measurement unit so I have given you what it is in NMOL AND PMOL...http://www.mens-hormonal-health.com/normal-testosterone-levels-in-men.html

Total T = 18.2 ( 525 ) Range (8.3-30.2)
Free T = 306 (8.8 ) (Range 225-725)
SHBG = 47 (nmol) (Range 13-71)
Serum Prolactin = 109 (Range 45-375)
PSA 1.1 (Range 0.00-3.5)
Chol / HDL ratio = 4.3 (Range < 5.0 )
Serum Glucose ( fasting ) = 5.2 nmol (Range 45-375)
Free T4 = 16.8 ( Range 10.0-19.0)
TSH = 0.37 (Range 0.50-4.00 )

My doctor said all my bloods are in range and he will NOT prescribe me TRT which does not help me with my problems. I have been told by other trt patients to also get my E2 tested ??? Do you think if I started trt this would help or will it stuff up my body ? I am ready to buy some treatment but would like to get other peoples opinion ? And finally my friend said Proviron with Primoteston would give me a boost ?

Once again thanks for a informative website...

Cheers AussieMan 1963

Your free testosterone is below 2 percent of total which means a lot more testosterone than normal is getting bound to albumin and sex hormone binding globulin. Your total testosterone is mid range and that may be the reason the doctor refuses to prescribe testosterone.

The most striking thing (assuming it was not a lab error, which can happen!) is your non existent E2. Usually TT is at least 14 times higher than E2 (dividing ng/dL by pg/mL). So, I expected an estradiol in the 30-40 pg/mL range. I am not sure why your E2 is so low. Any chance to get it retested?

Are you eating a lot of cruciferous vegetables? They are broccoli, cabbage, kale, brussels sprouts and cauliflower. This family of vegetables contains sulfur compounds (can be gas forming) and indole-3-carbinol. These guys bind to estrogen and escort it out of the body.

No
Cant I just take a small dose of DHEA?

Found this interesting...

Estrogen actually has several different subforms. The most "dangerous" estrogen is E2, or estradiol. Typically, when one is talking about estrogen, this is the form being referred to. Sister molecules are estrone (E1) and estrial (E3).
Here are three key ways showing how badly men need adequate estrogen levels and how low estrogen can endanger a man's career, relationships and health:
1. Bone Maintenance. Estrogen is critically important for brain function, even in the men. Researchers have found that it is important for verbal memory in particular. [2] Estrogen is also essential for the growth of new neuronal connections and neuron maintenance. [3] Yes, testosterone has a profound effect on the male brain, but adequate estrogen is no less important.

2. Erectile Dysfunction. Results are preliminary, but it is clear that estrogen in males actually plays a significant role in nitric oxide production. [4] Of course, it is no secret that testosterone stimulates nitric oxide, but researchers were suprised to find that in men there were critical estrogen receptors that stimulate eNOS as well. Therefore, it may be almost as important to check estrogen levels as testosterone in aging males.
3. Verbal Memory and Brain Function.

Researchers have found a drop in libido in mice by cutting their estrogen. There also have been anecdotal reports of men undergoing sex changes who see an increase in libido when they start estrogen therapy. In women, it may be the opposite, where testosterone plays a bigger role than estrogen in their sex drive“Both sexes require the opposite gender hormone to have adequate libido,” he said. In the study, researchers looked at more than 300 men ages 20 to 50 that were given treatments to suppress production of all reproductive hormones. Half the men were then given a testosterone-boosting gel or a placebo. The other half received the testosterone gel along with a drug that lowered the production of estrogen. The researchers found that testosterone was the main hormone involved in lean body mass and muscle strength. Estrogen played a bigger role in fat accumulation. While low testosterone did cause a decline in sexual desire, those getting the estrogen-suppressing drug saw a greater drop-off.
So what do you guys recommend DHEA or a cycle of TRT to boost my E?

Thanks for posting that. Please post the source since we do not want to get in trouble with copyright laws.

I have been saying that all along. https://www.excelmale.com/forum/thr...trozole-(Arimidex)-What-Every-Man-Should-Know

I would run your estradiol test (ultrasensitive) again before making a decision. At your total testosterone blood level of 525 ng/dL, I would do this first before deciding to get on TRT:
