HCG advice

I am a new client of Defy Medical. I am in my 60's. I've had fairly decent levels of T up until a couple of years ago. Defy has prescribed Test Cyp. , HCG and Arimidex twice weekly doses. At my age is HCG really beneficial?

Welcome to Excelmale.

That's a question that Dr. Saya could have explained in detail. The short answer is "yes, but not in an absolute sense." I presume you're referring to fertility and you wonder if it's worth it to administer another drug if you have no plans/interest in children at this point in your life. HCG maintains testicular vitality, it is true, but it also supports hormonal activity "upstream." It is for that reason it was prescribed.

Strictly speaking, you can set it aside if you choose to. I am 58, use it, feel nothing from it (some experience stronger libido), but feel it is, on balance worth it. There's lots of material in the Forum on HCG, it has its own folder. Read, think, consider discussing it with Defy, and make your decision.

I'm also in my 60's and I do use HCG. But I also like my strong libido, and I do have someone to share it with.:o

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
