Feeling Down on Doxazosin

I tried .5mg of doxazosin morning and night. First thing I noticed is that my sleep started becoming much more interrupted and also I feel much more down in the dumps. Like depression, weak, lethargic. This started basically the day after starting and has increased everyday since then. About a week. Anyone else experience this?

While I don't think dox is considered a psych drug it is used off label for ptsd/nightmares.

When I start a new med that changes the balance in brain chemistry, I get what you describe above.

I was put on prazosin, which has to be dosed multiple times a day. doxazosin has a much longer half life, maybe taking in the am only will help with sleep?

Ditto, Weasel's experience. First tried prazosin, the doxazosin, for sleep problems related to bipolar illness. For some, either one of those drugs can be like a miracle in restoring sleep. Doxazosin, as has been posted on this forum, can restore erectile function. Didn't help me there, either.
