My total T is climbing from 250 in June on 366 in September to 459 in Dezember. But SHBG is still high at 66 nmol/l. I feel a bit better compared to summer but far away from "superman". 🤷*♂️Am I still qualified for a treatment? I had new blood work this morning. the Lab will send my results end of the week.

Welcome to Excelmale. As has been pointed out, the decision to treat can be made by your doctor alone, he or she may simply say, "no," or your insurance company, if you fail to hit a specific metric they can say, "no," or (in the ideal situation) by you and your doctor working together. Where do you live? How old are you? What other test results can you share with us - along with any symptoms or health history.

I am 35 years old. Try to build muscles but without success. I had make a diet last year in spring and try to eat clean. Than I had make a blood test in Juni an the low t was found. I was obese from age 10-30. now i am lean/skinny fat. but i had fat tissue at breast, bud and stomach that i can't loose. and I am very shy, moody and have sometimes a slight depression and anxiety. I also have a chronic urinary tract an throat inflammation since years.

I'm from Germany. Yes its between me and my private doctor. He had say already yes!
But I hesitate now because of the increasing numbers and the fact that I feel better the last two weeks.

Your total t may be climbing, but what are your free T results and reference ranges? Your SHGB is rather high. Do you have ranges for that? There are several threads regarding baseline lab work you should look at before you start treatment. It is fantastic that you have a doctor willing to treat and you have already found this site and are asking questions BEFORE you initiate a protocol. I wish I had found this site before starting treatment. It would have saved me a year of sub optimal levels.

The ability to build muscle is also about genetics, your T could be low T if your SHBG is binding up most of your T. High SHBG is inflating your T status, your FT possibly being be low range.

Most doctor's are terrible at male hormones let alone diagnosing when theres a problem.

I got new lab results today. I don't have start TRT yet. I would know my latest numbers including E2 (Östradiol) and DHT. (Unfortunately, the lab has forgotten to measure DHT). My TT is better now 750 ng/dl. But my SHBG is also higher 103 nmol/l. I don't know what to do. What you think?
