Hi. My partner is taking 125ml or mg once a week. He feels awful for the first few days.. run down.. tierd.. We think it is test flu but he is suffering with bad aniexty 4 days after his injection. He has started taking a small amount of the oestrogen blocker the day after his injection.. to help get in the sweet spot. Can anyone help or comment if this is a good routine or if there is anything we are missing. Thank you

He needs to call his doctor. Don't start experimenting with “might” work, get the MD involved. If he's anxious by nature, and since he's having you ask for him I assume he may be, any changes he is feeling may be exacerbated by his mental state. Tell him to calm down and talk to the doctor. It's pretty common for anxious guys to scare themselves when starting.TRT done right is very safe.

And get him to post here and ask his own questions.

It was more for my own curiosity really.. I'm just trying to understand it from a women's point of view I guess. I read so many threads about how often guys should test and when to take the oestrogen blocker etc.. Thank you for your help

You're missing labs, I wouldn't start an AI without proper labs. I would stay on his protocol for at least and then do labs.

If not a lot, I recommend you get a few books.
Get a few good books and educate yourself and partner now:
1. Get Nelsons book "Testosterone: A Man’s Guide".
2. Get Lee Myer's book "Natural Versus Testosterone Therapy".
3. Get “Testosterone for life - Dr. Abraham Morgentaller “.
4. Get “The Definitive Testosterone Replacement Therapy MANual: How to OptimizeYour Testosterone For Lifelong Health And Happiness” by Jay Campbell.

Right...this doesn't work the way that you (he) are approaching it. Taking an AI because you feel this or that form one day to the next is a recipe for frustration. Ensure he's getting the ONLY, correct, test for males: (Ultra) Sensitive LC/MS/MS...any other is for females and can overestimate levels in men.

A good hormone specialists will tailor a protocol to the specific individual, I doubt that has taken place in your case because injecting once weekly is old school and can be a recipe for excess estrogen production. There aren't many doctors who know how to do TRT well, most of us have gone private do to TRT ignorance within the medical community.
