Accutane while on TRT?

Again I wish you the best. I hope your Dr explained how 'tane blocs 5 alpha reductase in tissue which in turn blocks DHT, so it's changing hormones. That's at even .5 mg. I had a MRI on my pitutary after doing 80 mg for 10 days and it said it was "small". The 43 years prior I had zero issues...5 weeks on accutane my life changed forever.

Not trying to scare anyone but if someone explained the real risks in 2010 to me, I would have never used this drug. But once a drug goes generic, the ship has sailed.

Ill keep you posted. Im almost 10 weeks in now. Feel fine. Libido is still good too. But I'm also taking Ashwagandha

almost 4 months in. main side effects are dry lips, fatigue, eye watering occasionally and sky nostril/nosebleeds.

sex drive is down, but no ED issues currently

3 more months? I think so. I dont think they’re permanent. The energy thing isnt huge as im ive dealt with much worse and ive been doing jiu jitsu at nights as for libido. Im glad its not high right now personally. ED would be a huge tradeoff but so far not having that. Praying it stays that way. Id say, if my skin stays clear after discontinuing and the energy-related sides go away after my accutane cycle, then yes it was worth it.

Mind you, I have literally exhausted almost every method of staving off acne besides spironolactone, with no success. Accutane allows me to do jiu jitsu again. Get sweaty and not have to worry about major breakouts anymore. Which is huge for me

Accutane, Ashwagandha, Spiro etc are all super risky whether on TRT or not, since they all have reports of anhedonia

So if accutane causes low DHT, why not to take proviron on your trt?

My take from someone who was on accutane in late teens. Stay clear of it. I had a host of hormone issues throughout life, ended up infertile and not able to have kids. Testosterone came back below 150 in my 20’s. Dramatic decline from about 18 to 25. At 18 I was very healthy and strong into pretty much any sport. I started trt at 25 and the only way trt made me feel good was mixing injection and gels. We proved through bloodwork my dht was always too low just on injection and the gels made up for it. I fully believe the accutane did something to my body to reduce testosterone and dht. I would recommend anyone living with acne( and mine was really bad) to just live with it because if there’s any chance you might experience what I did you’ll regret taking it. This product should not be marketed!

how did you make out on accutane? Sex drive come back? Hopefully it wasn’t permanent for you like it was for me. My symptoms continually got worse over the years after taking accutane. I despise doctors for giving this shit to their patients.
