2 1/2 weeks in trt some questions.

I'm on 130 mg self administered TRT, once per week injections. The doc said they like once per week best. I'm into week two on 130 test Cypionate. I see a lot of people recommending split dosing at E 3.5 days, instead of once per week. I have a few questions. Sorry if this is stupid. The bi-weekly, once a week, e3-5 days discussion has been interesting as I learn about trt.

1. I have to go back for blood work on a set Wednesday(injection day) in 2 weeks with instructions not to inject again on that day before the test. If I did the 65 mg 3.5 days before would that skew the results.

2.Since i'm newer to trt and it probably has barely even begun to kick in should I just stick with my protocol? They will be monitoring blood work in 4 week increments (2 more times) to dial it in.

Tnx for the help.

I wouldn't change the protocol until after labs. You can post your labs and get some opinions.

Good advice here from Vince. Some men do just fine on once a week injections; see where things stand after this first lab test. And, in regard to your apology - there are no stupid questions.

I will add this point: a doctor/clinic that likes any injection schedule "best" should be evaluated carefully. As I noted, some fellows do just fine injecting once weekly, others every 3.5 days, or every-other-day (I inject every morning, a rare daily injector). My point is that there is no such thing as a "best" schedule in the abstract. Protocols have to be tailored to an individual. Keep us posted.

Understanding Your Hormones

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
