I just had my first testosterone cypionate injection of 0.6 mL yesterday morning. About 30 minutes later I had a short episode of shortness of breath and feeling like I was really keyed up. I did have 1 cup of coffee also which is my usual. Then about 3 AM this morning I woke up with shortness of breath also. This episode was a bit longer and lasted probably about 15 minutes or so. Can anyone offer any info on this? Does my body need to just get used to the shots or is this something I should ask my doctor about? Thanks for the help!

BTW, I have had bloodwork before going on this and nothing of concern showed up.

groz, I would think it's just your body adjusting to your higher levels of testosterone. When I first injected, almost instantly I felt myself change for the better, but I also got flu like symptoms.

The body can sometimes react when something foreign is injected. This will not occur once you get used to it.
Another reason shortness of breath may occur is due to some of the solution entering the blood stream directly through vascular tissue. For example, if the needle passes through a vein releasing some of the medication it can cause shortness of breath. The preservatives such as benzoyl alcohol can cause this.

Thanks, guys! I'm wondering if it might be the sesame oil I'm possibly having an allergic reaction to. I have had shortness of breath this morning also along with really clogged sinuses. There has also been some tightness in my chest. I looked up the sesame oil and allergic reactions and that could be the cause. I will see how this weekend goes before checking in with Defy.

This happened to me also. I use sustanon now and I feel like shit. Something like flu. My white blood cell is rising. Why? Anybody know?

Groz, out of curiosity what will your injection schedule be? Weekly? 0.6mL? Is this 2mg/mL = 120mg? You may want to lower the dose, or split it into 2 doses.

If it is an allergic reaction you might want to take Claritin (laritidine), or if its really bad use Benadryl, but that will make you sleepy.

You mention Sesame oil. I just looked at my bottle of testosterone cypionate (West-ward pharmaceuticals) and it uses cottonseed oil. So you may need to switch to another manufacturer.

Thanks, John, I will look at other oil options if this continues. I hadn't thought of trying an allergy medication. I'm not sure about the mg/mL. It is 0.6 mL once per week and then check labs after 6 wks. I will have to check and see if I can split that into two doses. This is my first experience with this although I was on Clomiphene for about 6 months.

Hi groz, the shortness of breath often caused by chronic bronchitis, allergy, anemia, some diseases or infections of the respiratory system and heart diseases. Also people with lung cancer will constantly experience this symptom[SUP].[/SUP]Most periods of breathlessness are not severe. However, you will need to consult the doctor in case shortness of breath happens with no obvious trigger, while you are resting, causing trouble to your sleep at night as well as having such symptoms as chest pain, fever, wheezing and tightness at chest or throat.
Over all, it happens when your heart is unable to pump enough blood to supply oxygen to your body

I have searched some methods for the shortness of breath and here what I found, I hope they can help you improve respire system :)
- Steam inhalation: against breathlessness caused by some respiratory problems as it is capable of decongesting the nasal passages.

Furthermore, moisture and heat from steam will break down and dilute mucus in order to eliminate easier.
Take a bowl and fill it with extremely hot water, put in some essential oil like peppermint or eucalyptus oil. Put your face above the bowl with a towel over the head. Breathe in the steam deeply for 15 minutes. You can apply this method whenever you are suffering from nasal congestion.
- Deep Breathing: Lie yourself down on the back, take your hands and put on abdomen while relaxing the muscles. Breathe deeply by the nose, enlarge the abdomen and inflate the lungs with air. Keep the breath for few seconds. Exhale slowly by the mouth and deflate completely the lungs. Perform for 5 – 10 minutes in 2 to 3 times per day.
This method is also great for COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) patients.
They have many more methods but I just believe those 2 the most.
At the end, I think you should tell your situation to your doctor.
