Hello all,

Has anyone seen such a high T from such a low dose of Cypionate?:
7 units (14 mg), EOD, subQ (50 mg/wk)

Measured twice, a month apart.

@ QUEST labs:
Total T: 1100
Free T: 195 (max 155)
DHT: 210 (max 65)
PSA: 3.9
Hemoglobin: 17
Hematocrit: 50

The implication is that your metabolic clearance rate for testosterone is on the low side. You get a lot of bang for your buck. If you're concerned about the underlying cause then you might do some testing of liver function. Otherwise, cut your dose to achieve more reasonable—e.g. midrange—free testosterone and then don't worry about it. Be forewarned that you can have withdrawal symptoms, but these should fade within a few months. This guidance is for optimizing overall health. If muscle-building is a priority then carry on.

Liver numbers have always been good, including GGT.
When I started with 90 mg/wk, my total T hit 1400. I lost the hair I was starting to regrow from microneedling+minoxidil.

And I regained muscle I lost very very quickly and then some. One part of the story is that I had a concussion previously and my T and LH tanked for 2 months and I got pudgy. (I have been 6-pack lean for years)

At 90 mg/wk my morning wood was all-night wood :-D.
When I cut all the way down to 50 mg, it went back to morning wood, which was a bit disappointing and I lost a bit of the extra muscle :-(, but my hair regrowth returned.

Both PSA and dht on the high side. Any reason why?
I guess this is common when T is at supra-physiologic levels?

Honestly if these, and hematocrit and hemoglobin weren't too high and my newly regrown hair didn't fall out, I would have kept the 90 mg/wk / T=1400 dosing. I liked the extra muscle and all-night wood. Made me feel like a teenager!!

I like my levels higher. That's when I feel my best.

How are your BP, hematocrit and hemoglobin? What's your free T?

Dht level 61, psa 2.4, I haven't donated blood for almost 8 years now. Since I went to daily injections my HCT stabilized.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
