I did my first injection thursday, and no gel from then. Starting saturday, Ive felt more sluggish than usual and erection even worse. My next injection is tomorrow.

When I switched from gel to injections, I had a miserable 4-5 days. Gel goes in and out very fast and you are applying it frequently. Injections last longer (enanthate/cypionate) but also take longer to take effect.

You may not "need" the gel after switching protocols, but don't throw it away. Keep it, and use it any time you need a little "boost" of horniness once in a while - one or two pumps once in a blue moon doesn't have much of an effect on your general T levels anyway. That's what I would do (and have done). Also, good to have backup T because why not.

That's why I suggested holding off on quitting the gel. Half life is super short on it, and steady state with cyp will take weeks. I'd probably just use the gel based on symptoms personally until I knew I didn't need it. Not going to hurt yourself if you run a little over range testosterone for a few days or a week.

yes a little update again: So I continued with the gel, felt "fine" - and with "fine" I mean not extremely lethargic with ZERO energy, but more "meh alright".

Anyway, for 2 days now, I decided to try it with no gel .. oh man let me tell you, the lethargy I feel is INSANE now, I legit feel like a 100% zombie, VERY slow, very low energy, insane Ive never felt this bad even with naturally low T.

For some reason, my libido is still "alright", I mean I can get it up, but thats about it.


Ive done 2 injections now, Im on my 8th day into injection threatment .. do u guys have any idea for how long I will have to use the gel before I can rely on the testosterone shots completely? Cause so far, when not using the gel .. Im a damn zombie lol!

Update:

Got my bloods back on my levels before starting the injections, only on 50mg of testogel a day:

testosterone: 16.9nmol
shbg: 13

My testosterone pre-TRT was around 5 and my shbg was 24.

Seems like my shbg has gone down alot, this cant be good can it?

Exogenous testosterone typically lowers SHBG.

No estradiol lab numbers? You really need to know that number as it can/will have a big impact on how you feel. With TRT, that E2 level is the tail wagging the dog.

yeah Im aware of that, just didnt think it should lower it from 25 to 13, thats quite a reduction.

Yea I did take the test but numbers for estradiol hadndt come in yet it seemed, probably soon.

My estradiol before TRT was so low it was below the normal range.

You can factor that into your protocol design. You're right, though, it is certainly a low value.
