Testosterone and RBC

Following a recent gene mutation test, I was found to have an MTFHR gene mutation, as well as elevated homocysteine levels and reduced folic acid conversion. I am on the verge of commencing testosterone cream treatment and have concerns regarding potential complications, especially considering my slightly elevated RBC and hematocrit levels. Any insight ?

and hct also at top reference range?
Most MDs would not start TRT with such baseline. You should try to figure out why are that high or elevated. Will most likely get worse when you add TRT.

If creams fail, you can always try oral testosterone, Jatenzo, which doesn’t affect erythrocytosis like injections, more like topical creams and gels.
