Anastrozole Adjustment

When adjusting anastrozole dosage, how long does it take for estradiol to reach the new equilibrium? I'm trying to dial in and I want to see how long to wait before drawing new labs.

@madman always suggests waiting a minimum of six weeks (preferably eight) for any tweak to T dosage and frequency, as well as for the addition and subtraction of other compounds (eg. AI's), and any subsequent tweaks to said compounds.

Anyone know the science or rationale behind that? specifically for estradiol? I searched all over and couldn't find anything which is surprising. Even from docs I heard differing things but I got the impression they were all guessing.

Anastrozole? Or estradiol?
Anastrozole will have a sustained affect on estrogen after 10-12 days but that’s not to say after a time estrogen won’t decrease further.

A lot of men struggle to get consistency over time using anastrozole and so it becomes a shell game.

TRT and especially anastrozole isn’t a set and forget therapy.

The half-life of the medicine determines how long for your body to reach homeostasis, you can’t reach homeostasis if the medicine is still building up in your body.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
