I know its not Monday but 224.8lbs today, I've ben thinking about posting pictures maybe once a month but to be honest I'm really self conscious about my weight gain and I'm not happy about my slow progress. How much of a role dose stress really play in weight loss?

Stress causes a rise in Cortisol which is catabolic and causes weight gain as well. http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=53304 As bad or worse is that stress often causes poor sleep, which in turn releases more cortisol...If you are not sleeping well, try taking your DHEA right before bed or with dinner rather than in the AM. DHEA opposes cortisol so it helps you sleep properly.
Thanks it helped for a little bit but I quit taking it a while back I think I was converting it to estrogen as my skin became oilier and I was having more acne.
I had popcorn last weekend took the family to a movie.
228lbs today, I miss being able to do insanity last time I did it I lost 20lbs in 1 and 1/2 months.
I'm an easy gainer I've always had to be very active (DNA test said I had mutations retaliated to obesity)
The most effective way I discovered to maintain BF% for me was to weight lift and maintain a higher level of muscle mass.
still doing 30 min incline walking in the morning and some weights in the afternoon M-F
I've lost some fat and gained some muscle but things are going slow wish I could be as active as before CRPS sucks

You are doing great overall man. Congratulations!

I have a couple more ideas for better sleep - I had some bad insomnia a few years back and I tried a ton of things before I found some supplements that really work.

Seriphos - This also blocks cortisol at night and cannot raise E2 like DHEA can for some guys. I take one with dinner and one before bed.

Glycene - Take 3-5 grams before bed and you will relax and sleep very well. It has a slightly sweet taste and easily mixes with water. Plus it is dirt cheap in powder form - a pound costs $12.00

Keep up the good work!

Just to jump in alittle on this. I personally would stop concentrating on the scale at this point. Your weight is fluctuating as your body adjusts to the new routine. Your program looks pretty balanced so you are going to be losing fat at the same time gaining muscle which will reflect in the scale.
As a younger man, I competed semi pro in body building and power lifting, seldom weighed in during training because I did not want to get hung up on the scale.
Genetics and diet play the biggest role in body composition.

I'm used to being able do more push myself harder, I have to learn to accept my limitations and come to terms with the fact that things are just going to take longer.
Thanks

Paul, great start, words of caution, as a 26yr fitness trainer I see this motivation all the time! Fitness and nutrition is a lifestyle, you need to make changes that you canlive with! IF I was consulting for you, I would cut the exercise back and watch the keto, I like the IFasting, but all these changes at once makes me nervous! good luck

Thanks, I've been eating healthier than most for a few years now so nothing new there 2nd time intermittent fasting no problem there(I don't have much of an apatite) I used to work out 4-5 days a week for 2+ years. The problem I have and the reason for weight gain came from the same reason I was permanently injured which holds me back now.

Paul, why 3 x 300iu's of HCG total 900IU's a week?
I was doing 500ius 2x a week with my testosterone I since switched to a 3x a week injection schedule I also dropped to 200iu's 3x a week now.

229.2lbs today I have lost body fat and regained some lost muscle still carry about 90% of my fat in my midsection but am noticeably thinner and making progress.
I upped my magnesium to 1200MG this last week and I feel like my metabolism is starting to improve.
I have become more regular(#2) before was like once every 3 days, in the last 2-3 days once or twice a day.
It also seems to help when I eat some coconut oil before bed.
When I get in better shape I will post before and after pictures.

it doesn't really look like it but I do have some muscle under all the fat besides looking like I've never touched a weight what body fat percentage do you think I am?
I've checked but the machine wasn't very consistent going from 28-34% in the same sitting.
