I'm 56. Been on TRT 2+ years with great success. I also have hypertension for which I take Lotrel. BP is well controlled. I can say that I have never had an issue with ED. Not once in my entire life. I realize that may be hard to believe, but it's true. Anyway, I became interested in taking daily low dose cialis as a way to assist with relaxing blood vessels and perhaps helping to reduce my mild bph among other potential health benefits. Every time I tried 5mg per day I would get the symptoms of a silent migraine. Not painful but visual disturbances and a feeling of blah for about a day. So my question is...dose low dose viagra have the same benefits as cialis? TIA

Only cialis is approved by the FDA for BPH.
I also did my own test of the big 3 and found only cialis helped my BPH which sucks because the stuffy nose I get from cialis sucks.

Thanks. That's what I figured. My bph is mild and doesn't affect my quality of life, but I assume it will worsen. The few times I did take the low dose cialis my erection was so hard I felt like I could pound nails with it. Normally after sex, my penis goes soft within 5-10 minutes. With the cialis, I stayed hard for what seemed like an hour after sex.

Try 5mg EOD. The effective range of Viagra @ about 4hrs makes it impractical for daily use like Cialis is marketed for, the longer action let's it build in your system to a point that is a higher serum level than having taken a single dose of Cialis. But try it 5mg EOD. There are guys around here that take less than that, too, like 2.5mg (split the pill)

You think the weird headaches are dose related? I have compounded tabs that are 75mg. I just dissolved one in 7.5mg of vodka and took 0.5ml.

I had the headaches and back pain for 7-10days after i first started. I do 5 mg daily. You could go down to 2.5 daily and see. If i take 10 mg i will het headache and stuffy nose. Now with the 5 i do not notice

I had no other symptoms besides the visual disturbances/silent migraines. Thanks for the responses. I may give the smaller dose a try.

I've been using both Viagra and Cialis for years as needed taking one or the other dictated by or depending on my anticipation of how lucky I'm going to get later on and the mood. Sometimes I take some of both. IMHO...Viagra seems to give me stiffer/harder erections but I also feel more side effects while on it to include the flushed face and stuffy sinuses that seems wear off with the erection about 4 hours. Cialis feels much more natural to me with much longer lasting effects being able to get an erection the day after taking it but Cialis makes me feel drained the day after taking it or no energy and erections are weaker. I personally prefer Viagra and take it more often then Cialis because I like the erections better and not feeling shitty the day after from taking it. I hate taking Levitra as it always seems to have given me a bad headache every time I've taken it. Trimix is new to me as I've only tried it 3 times now and it's amazing. Trimix gives me a rock hard erection that will NOT die for hours no matter how uncomfortable or distracted you are. My urologist told me that I should have a rock hard erection sitting next to my mother in church and it does work that good allowing you to have sex anyway you like in any position you want without losing your erection.

Has anyone tried them together? I take 5mg of daily Cialis and on occasion have also taken 50 mg of Viagra. The Viagra does give me a stuffy nose. Erection quality seems to be better with the added Viagra, but Viagra typically does that for me.

C and V together work very well for me, I pair it different ways sometimes 5/C in the AM , 5C in the PM, and then a 50/V as date time approaches. Be easy on it and judge your tolerance with lower doses and if you pair it with NO donors like Citrulline/Arginine watch your (low) blood pressure

With your level of knowledge, it's good to know that you approve of it. I have high BP so could be a good thing. I have laid off the Citrulline of late. Too many supplements sometimes. Thanks.

I'm going to try 2.5mg to see if I can take the cialis and avoid the visual disturbances/silent migraine. I'm going to take it before bedtime. Maybe that will help??

I haven't used Viagra before, but I'm happy about dialy Cialis so far. The first week was hellish as far as side effects concerned. Horribly painful lower back muscles to the point I had poor sleep for two days and a couple instance of congestion and running nose. A few weeks in now I haven't noticed any side effects, although sometimes after a good back workout the pump will be uncomfortable for maybe half an hour later. Pretty effective, and thankfully hasn't effected my libido which was already a comfortable middle ground. Don't lose control in the gym whatsoever as some might fear so it's turned out good for me.

5 mg daily challis. You just have to give your body some time to adapt to it.
I'm going to continue with 2.5mg and monitor the side effects. I'm taking it because I want the health benefits not because I need it so I'm not going to suffer through silent migraines just to take cialis. If I can handle the 2.5mg for a few weeks then I'll begin upping the dose.

Sounds awesome. That gets my vote as quality problem of the day...

Lol! I took 2.5mg before bed last night and my morning wood was like morning granite.

That's one thing I've noticed with low dose daily cialis, AM erections. I got to think that this is a healthy thing. Because I get hard so easily now, my wife feels much more attractive and because she feels more she acts as if and... voila. This quality problem is doing wonders for my marriage in year 31. Quality problem Nashtide.
