Trying to Recover Morning Erections

Hello, need a little help! My protocol was 80mg of test twice a week and 500ius of hcg twice a week with no ai. My labs were test level at 978, estradiol sensitive 36.9, prolactin 16.7, dhea 193. The issue I was having was the day after injections I wouldn't get morning wood.....even through the week it would be ok one day and not so good others. I do daily cialis and some of genes no stack. Erections are usually pretty decent with girlfriend......sometimes not as hard as others?. So I switched my protocol to 80mg of test twice a week still, 300ius of hcg m/w/f and added dhea 15mg at night (doc said I can supplement with 25mg am just doing 15 for now). I have done this protocol for the last two weeks and this past week no morning wood what so ever? Had it this morning but like half hard? Not sure what's going on. I changed my protocol thinking the reason was a big spike in estradiol when I was doing my hcg and test injections on same day and 500ius of hcg is a big dose at one time. My estradiol isn't that high for my test levels but maybe too high for me! I am trying to get back to good erections and morning wood. Thanks

I'd kick the DHEA, quite a few us don't get along well with supplemental DHEA...I'd cut that out and leave the rest the same and see how you are in 1-2 weeks.

I concur with this, unfortunately DHEA isn't as much of a testosterone "booster" for us males as it is for women. Most people seem to have an unfavorable cost/benefit ratio with it as it favors the estrogen pathway in men.

Like I said just an opinion, but lets talk it through for a second. In your case, what is the purpose of adding the DHEA? It is to restore your powerful regular and morning erections right? Ok, that's great, but chemically, what do we want to achieve?

Your Test levels look to be solid, you didn't share free test, but I will assume it isn't anything to write home about in either direction. So, we aren't hoping that the DHEA converts to Testosterone. We know that DHT is associated with negative side effects so we aren't hoping that the DHEA skips the Testosterone Step and converts to DHT directly. We know that DHEA is more likely to convert to Estrogen, your estradiol looks good so you probably don't want to fiddle with that too much, especially since you said it may be too high for you. We also know that DHEA can directly act on Estrogen receptor Beta in a similar fashion to Estradiol, we don't want that since you think your Estradiol may be too high for you already. So regardless of your DHEA level, you need to ask yourself what you're hoping for the DHEA to do. You have said that the symptoms were worse when you dropped the HCG and added the DHEA. If the desired outcome is to raise your serum DHEA-S then by all means have at it. If your desired outcome is to regain your erection strength, I would consider backing off of it and seeing how it goes as the other gentlemen said.

Understanding Your Hormones

Estradiol (E2)

A form of estrogen produced from testosterone. Important for bone health, mood, and libido. Too high can cause side effects; too low can affect well-being.

DHT

Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen derived from testosterone. Affects hair growth, prostate health, and masculinization effects.

Free Testosterone

The biologically active form of testosterone not bound to proteins. Directly available for cellular uptake and biological effects.
