How many of you run trt with out hcg and AI?

If yes what dose and protocol do you use?

4 years of trt and I've never used an AI. I've always injected 500 IU of HCG twice a week. I've tried many different amounts of testosterone anywhere from 100 mg twice a week to as low as 70 mg twice a week. I'm presently injecting 16 mg of testosterone cypionate daily along with my HCG 500 IU twice a week. I feel this is my best protocol (I'm dialed in) and the one I will stay on.

For some yes, but not everyone. I use daily injections to control my HCT. Which for some reason it has, I've been on this protocol for almost 2 years now and I haven't had to donate blood.

I can't stand the way anastrozole makes me feel even on micro dosing even if it doesn't effect E2 levels much at all. I took a small dose anastrozole a week ago and it gave me popping and clicking joints even though estrogen was 43.

There are some guys who just don't tolerate anastrozole well. I'm on 10mg everyday in an attempt to lower estrogen without a need for estrogen blocking medications.

Testosterone enanthate (Delatestryl), 75 mg (every 3.5 days).....strictly sub-q (abdominal fat).

Almost 2 years on trt.....never used hcg or an aromatase inhibitor.

Testes were descent size before trt.....may have shrunken slightly but not noticeable.....do not plan on having children.

Overall feel great regarding mood/energy/libido/erections/increased strength/recovery.....never experienced tight scrotum and can still shoot big loads/have intense orgasms!

No difference i could tell other than my nuts regained some size. No AI ever. I am back to test cyp alone. I am a high hct guy, so i am trying 10 mg daily. Just did labs friday after three months. Will post results in a few days when i get them back

I feel good. Good libido,energy and mental functions. I see my labs have been sent to defy and labcorp will post sometime tomorrow. I will post the results of my experiment then. I do know my total and free t numbers dropped and e2 went up, I just do not know hct yet.
Still have a hard time keeping an erection during evening sex midweek. Again Test is not the complete answer there and I am 55 and get up at 4-4:30 and go at it all day working 10-11 hours each day.

I think you hit the nail on the head. By doing daily injections you keep those levels more stable thereby minimizing side effects related to estrogen or hematocrit being elevated. Are you injecting shoulders with 1/2'' insulin?

I do 130 mg testosterone cypionate per week, one injection. No AI, or HCG. My bloodwork is stable, hematocrit is at 47 and was 46 before TRT. I am with Abraham Morgantaler’s clinic in Boston and this is how they do it. Everyone starts at 100 test cypionate and they adjust from there. He doesn’t use the sensitive estradiol test either. I only see him if the PA is out. I did see him once and asked him a lot of questions, trying to take advantage of his knowledge. He said an AI is not needed unless you are symptomatic, regardless of the numbers. He asked about sex frequency and satisfaction and how I was functioning. He also said that unless hematocrit is over 54 he is not concerned as long as BP is fine. His protocol makes sense to me, as it seems most guys struggle to figure out what’s causing problems when they start with an AI and HCG right out of the gate. Morgantaler’s approach is to go slow and steady. I was told in the initial appointment that they could get my libido back, but the erection quality maybe not. I continue to use daily cialis in a modification of Gene’s nitric oxide stack and it works great. Testicular shrinkage is minimal, but there. My wife of 31 years has never noticed any difference and I never mentioned it as a side effect to see if she’d notice. She hasn’t. We have sex 3 times per week and the sex is better, longer, and more satisfying than at any time in all our years together. My libido is way up, maybe a little too much. If I didn’t have a willing partner that I am still very attracted to, I think I’d have problems and would probably drop the dose back to 100. At 130mg I can maintain the muscle I have gained and the fat loss. I weigh the same as when I started TRT, but body fat has dropped from 16% to 10%. I get complements all the time in the summer about being “in great shape for my age.” The for my age part pisses me off, but it’s ok with me.

I inject 50mg Tcyp E3.5D. 250iu of hcg every Monday and Friday. I stopped taking anastrazole about 2 months ago and my E2 went from 29 to 41. I really didn’t notice any change in the way I feel, but I’m not one of the princess and the pea guys. After much contemplation and lots of research, I’ve decided to add the anastrazole back into my protocol. I will take 0.1mg when I inject the Tcyp. I made this decision partially because I suffer no ill effects from anastrazole and partially because I believe that there is enough “evidence” that sustained high estrogen in men is probably more detrimental than a tiny dose of anastrazole. My E2 will still be on the high normal side (high 20’s to low 30’s) on this protocol. That’s my story.
