Is Trazodone ok to take the doc placed me on it for sleep . I didn't want to take none of the narcotic garbage . Does anyone know if this will affect my TRT.?

It shouldn't effect your TRT. Trazodone has very mixed results as a sleep aid. In many cases people report feeling really groggy the day after they use it.

According to Eugene shippen, who is a mentor of sorts to our own John Chrisler, this drug increases E2 clearance. So, it should reduce estrogen levels. Now that is not to say whether you should take it or not. I am merely passing along information that I learned from his book

Trazodone has been shown to cause weight gain in many people. Its use as a sleep aid beyond a few weeks has not been studied. How long did your doctor prescribe its use?

I just started TRT in April so I wouldn't know. Waiting on the results of my first set of blood work now to see where my levels are at.

I get 90 day supply and this is my second refill I use on work days only . But I have been working a lot of OT lately

I have been using Trazodone for the last 3 years. Usually take it mon-fri. I take 50mg and it works wonders for sleep. i think it also helps with morning wood as well ( it is a mild alpha blocker)
