Testosterone cream for libido only

Trying to u understand

So I got my levels checked and I’m trying to understand if I’m good or not. I know I should look at symptoms and not numbers but I’m 40 years old. My total testosterone is 292 ng/dl and my free test calculation is 64.4 bio available is 151.0 my primary doctor said that my free bio available is good so he doesn’t think I should worry about the total testosterone. Here are my numbers also my estradiol is 15.0 which is on the verge of being low… I’m experiencing some brain fog, tired in the afternoon, just not as sharp as I used to be, and some mild ED… I do take a daily cialis as well…. With this what’s your thoughts fellas thanks!! Is total T important or is Free more important to treatment or not. Also I talked to a urologist today and she said I’m all good based on my labs. So my next question is has anyone used any T cream to boost libido? Like the small dosages not trt dosage.. I would like to boost my libido and I’ve tried thru diet…

Your levels are garbage, both total T and Free T (calculated to be 6.5 ng/dL). Easy decision to start TRT with these levels at your age.

Using sub-replacement doses of test cream to boost libido might work, but probably not. It will probably lead to lower testosterone levels across time than you would have naturally due to the partial HPTA suppression.

If I were you, I would bypass the local unhelpful doctors you've been dealing with and reach out to a telemedicine TRT clinic to start actual TRT.

Is total T important or is Free more important to treatment or not.
Many experts believe Free T in the bottom 25% percentile to be a sign of hypogonadism. The ranges are poorly established and doctor knowledge is a bit lacking on how to interpret your hormone values when compared to the majority of the population.

To many mainstream doctors, “in range is normal” only it’s not that simple. We’re not all robots, we’re individuals, unique DNA, some men are built for high testosterone, and some men are built to run on lower end testosterone and feel fine.
