Tadalafil Troche

Hi Guys,

I was prescribed some Tadalafil and was given the option of the Troche vs the Pill I've been taking. In the past I've taken half a 20mg tablet, but I see that the Troche I've been supplied with is a 22mg Trochee and my dosage is listed as a quarter of a Troche.

My question is as follows - is the effective strength of the troche the same as the pill form? If so, I'll probably take half a troche at a time rather than a quarter to keep my dosage closer to the 10mg I'm used to taking.

Anyone else using troches? How has your experience with them been?

You;'ll need to try it, that's all any one can say. There's certainly no harm going to come from 22mg or less. You could find better absorption of the trouche that allows you to take less. You'll just have to try it and find out.

In my case, a Levitra troche works better and faster that the oral pharma grade one (at same mg dose). I get mine from Empower Pharmacy.

Do you allow these to dissolve as directed or swallow it whole? The tadalafil troche gives me a headache if I allow it to dissolve, but if I swallow it like a pill it does not. I assume it still works if one swallows it, because it passes through the liver like a pill?

The troche is for sublingual adsorption. If you're swallowing it like a pill. I would buy a pill and save some money.

For me, the troche is cheaper per MG than compounded capsules, so that is why I wanted to make sure if I did swallow it, it would still be absorbed. I ordered some Tadalafil from ADC last week, so that will be way cheaper.
