Subcutaneous Test Cyp - 2x or 3x week better?

Welcome to Excelmale. If you are dealing with higher estradiol and/or low SHBG you want to inject smaller doses more frequently to avoid spikes in e2 and to minimize the rapid loss of testosterone commonly seen by men with low(ER) SHBG. I inject on a daily basis in order to manage those issues. Ideally, you inject as often as you need to, and not more frequently. What prompted the question? Lab results pose some challenges?

Thanks. I'm on opposite end of spectrum with high SHBG causing very low Free T=9 and low E2=20 levels at TT= 609. With this profile, I'm trying to figure out if 2x or 3x per week SC injections are preferable with regard to getting best Free-T increase while minimizing E2 aromatization concerns.

With a 609 total you've got as much as ~400 points you could increase to which would help your Free T. Typically SHBG does come down some with TCyp usage. I would stay on a 3.5D schedule and just increase your Cyp dose. I don't think smaller more frequent is where it's at, that's a LOW shbg method.

As Vince stated, if you have normal/high SHBG then you are not likely to notice any difference between BIW vs TIW and you appear to have room to go up on your dosage (without any E2 issues) to "drag" the free T up and perhaps lower SHBG a bit.

Agree with all the comments above. SubQ seemed to get a lot of attention at one time, don't hear as much anymore. I believe most of the more frequent members on these boards seem to be IM or shallow IM.

I have an SHBG that floats around 30 and still feel benefit from EOD injections. Maybe just in the head... who knows.

But I do know, with labs to support it, 100mg T a week, split to every other day injections will show higher TT levels than 100mg via one or two shots a week. I remember a Dr, maybe Dr. Crisler? saying he found 80mg total a week split to M/Thurs equal to about 100mg injected once. And noted an even greater effect on his patients when they injected more frequent.

Just my experiences... having played with everything from daily to once a week over the past few years. I currently do 24mg T EOD, 80iu HCG daily.

A good write-up on this topic:

I recently switched from 2 times a week to everyday. I'm now using a 29 gauge insulin syringe sub q and it's a breeze. My only problem has been getting the testosterone into the syringe, it doesn't fill up as easy and takes some practice.

I'm not ready too comment yet as it's too early, but I will say that my dreaded anxiety is GONE COMPLETELY.

Personally, I really like injecting every 3 1/2 days, for me it keeps all my levels nice and even. I also like injecting 500iu of HCG twice a week along with my T. I know for many it may not help, but it really spike's my libido.

Why do you use HCG and T on the same day? Do u mix it also in the same syringe? Just wondering since I'm gonna introduce HCG in a few days und I am not sure yet on what day to inject the hcg. I inject every monday evening and friday morning - 3.5 days.

Don't want to speak for Vince, but I think for most guys that schedule comes down to convenience more than anything.

I would have to pretty much agree with James. I originally started injecting with both in the same syringe. But since I increased my testosterone amount. I now need to use two syringes.

Ok. Could there be a problem when keeping a few syringe up to 10 days in the fridge with testosterone and hcg mixed together? I'm putting them in the fridge since I break a testosterone ampulle every two weeks - then I split it to four syringe (every 3.5 days a injection). It is not the best way, but a way where I can keep T level on a stable level.

I wouldn't recommend refrigerating Cypionate. Keep it at room temperature. There's a lot of stuff online about that.
Since I'm spliting the ampulle to four syringes I like to keep them in the fridge because of sterility. I just have a better feeling. With lower temperatur things can be kept for a longer time of period and I want to be as safe as possible. I did my research on cypionate/enanthate @ fridge and I don't see a problem after reading many threads about it. I just need to get them to room temperature after taking them out but that's with 0.25 ml per syringe a matter of a 3-5 minutes. Just asking if it isn't a problem testosterone mixed with hcg and putting it in the fridge up to 10 days in a syringe.

I've never preloaded a syringe, is it necessary for you to preload?
