Some questions about HCG and Arimidex

Hi,
Regarding the use of low doses of both HCG and Arimidex while on TRT - and long term effects.

- Should you take breaks from HCG use or should it be used continually like testosterone? Is the issue of the Leydig cell becoimng de-sensitized an issue when using a low dose (ie 500 IUs twice a week?)

- Arimidex is said to cause problems with bone health long term? What is considered a "safe" dose for long term use? Or what is the best way to manage estrodial if Arimidex is not ideal?

Thanks!

Bone health has nothing to do with arimidex. The bone problems arise because estrogen is kept too low because of the improper use of adex. If you need adex to keep your E2 in a safe range you have no worries.
As far as hcg goes, I’m not sure 500iu’s is a low dose.

I don't believe anyone should cycle or take a break from HCG. I've been injecting 500 IU of HCG twice a week for 4 years now and I've been very happy with the results. HCG will not desensitize the leydig cells.

Hi again and thanks for feedback! Good insights - cool!

@Nashtide: what do you consider the minimum effective dose of HCG? I like to include hcg with testosterone because I feel much better, and without it my testicles shrink big time (not serious issue, but I do not like it either). Also, I hope HCG will help me maintain fertility.

@Vince: Yes, that was my thougts also, that 500 IUs twice a week would be a low/moderate dose safe for the long term. My doctors seems to think taking a break from hcg is better, or at least he sounded a bit surprised when I suggested I use hcg permanently. So its something I will discuss with him in a week or two (new blood test taken on friday - awaiting results).

Thanks again - and other feel free to chime in also!

I inject 250iu twice weekly, but please keep in mind I’m not concerned with fertility. I use hcg to keep my testicles happy and healthy.
