Shots to Gels to Shots

Hey guys, this is my first post on excelmale and I'm glad to have found this forum. I have a bit of a complex issue and am looking for any advice that you can lend.

So this summer here's what I was doing.


4 pumps t-gel
No hcg
I was also on zoloft and t3 and dialy cialis. This combo earlier was giving me morning wood, great EQ, and overall perfect health, mood etc. Then things started to drop and so I took the above labs.

Total Test 1020 (250-1100)
Free Test 232 (35-155) flagged HIGH
Test binding Globulin 28 (10-50)
estradiol (non sensitive) <10 (11-44)


I am thinking that going from shots to gels, I hit some kind of sweet spot with e2 and tt and this (combined with zoloft and t3) gave me a great libido response. I know ssri's have typically hurt erections, but for me it lowered my NE and boosted my Dopamine and Serotonin. This gave me great wood and fixed me PE.

Thinking I should go back to shots with hcg again. As now a more recent lab shows my TT at 550 on the gels and my e2 still low as hell.

What do you guys think?

So after a month or more on three pumps Fortesta and a daily HCG shot of 100iu, I noticed what "felt" like high E2. Lifts were not progressing in gym, energy was falling, and I was crying at the most trivial stuff ever. I assumed my Dhea and higher hcg must have put my e2 through the roof. I was wrong. Here are my current labs

TSH 0.19 LOW (.35-4.9)

T4 2.8 Low (4.5-12)

Total T3 2.5High (0.6-1.6)

RT3 5 LOW (8-25)

Prolactin 8 (3-19)

DHEA-S 416 (167-591)

Prog 1.1 <1.4

Test Total 578 (250-1100)
Test Free 120 (35-155)

DHT 84 HIGH (16-79)
Estrone 16 (<68)

e2 13 (<29)

Preg 63 (13-208)

Lowering Test dose BY ONE PUMP dropped TT big time, adding hcg didn't up e2 at all. Still not getting the libido and ED benefits I was this summer. Also going back to Naturethroid at 3grains a day to get a more balanced t3/t4.

I want Chris to jump in here but I suspect that you are still having thyroid problems.

Hypothyroidism has most of the same symptoms of Hypogonadism.

You need more Thyroid labs as most everything else looks good.

BTW, the slightly elevated DHT is really nice and the fact you don't have a strong libido and good EQ points to something else.

The low TSH is the giveaway here...

Well the TSH is only supressed because I had been on a T3 only protocol of 25mcg t3. I'm more concerned with the TT drop from 1000 to 500 by going from 4 pumps to 3....that seems weird. And the super low e2 with a TT of a 1000 and of 500 is concerning too. I do like higher DHT and only gels provide this, yet don't raise my low e2.

Gels ----- High DHT (good) , low e2 (bad)
Shots ---- Meh DHT (bad), upped e2 (good, since mine is naturally low)

Gels ---- for one month felt perfect libido/EQ wise then nothing
Shots ---- mood, strength, energy great on 80mg/week, EQ and libido is hit or miss

Which path to take? I figured Gels with HCG would boost my lagging e2, but that recent lab shows otherwise. What is strange is that even though I had tested low e2, I felt very HIGH E2 (weeping, pissy, etc).

I've heard of guys who do a combination of gels and shots in order to maintain good DHT levels. From what you are saying it sounds like some combination of gels/shots would get you where you need to be.

Agreed, if my Dr doesn't go along with this (or my insurance). Are there other means to raise DHT that are legal and available through the pharmacy? I've heard of masteron and others, but am not to up-to-date on DHT raising compounds or their efficacy.

Where can one get this. I have good T and E2 numbers, but DHT is in the bottom 20% of the range... I am curious to see how I would feel with a bit more DHT. Do any doctors prescribe creams/injections?
