About a year ago, I felt like crap & could hardly hold my fork up to my mouth to eat Christmas dinner. I wasn't impressed with my own doctor so I went to a well known Naturpath who did my blood work. When we got the blood work back she determined that my thyroid was off & my T was low & I was put on Trochies & Tapazole. Long story short of it is that I don't think she really knew what she was doing with the testosterone therapy & left me unmonitored. I had another blood test months later & my Total T was 1500 & I still felt like crap & had no energy.
So I started going to an Endo & he put me on shots, but I dont care for needles & my wife would pin me & hit a nerve in my leg once that was all it took to put me on gels. I am still fighting fatigue constantly when everyone tells me my labs look perfect, I know something is wrong & I think very strongly that its still my thyroid, but finding an Endo who treats symptoms & not just goes by ranges is near impossible to find. So here I am completely frustrated by all this shit I have been dealing with for over a year & not feeling any better. Brain fog, impaired vision are the worst symptoms & I have been to 3 different eye specialists who find nothing wrong with my eyes. I have seen 3 different psychiatrists because my own PCP said he thinks its all in my head & they said no there is no depression but I have alot of anxiety from trying to figure out what is going on with me & prescribed me a low dose of Klonopin to help with the anxiety. Meanwhile I just feel like crap, tired all the time. I am 47 years old 185 lbs & have no stress but autoimmune disease runs in my family history, my mom had RA & Grandmother died of Parkinsons. My wife said I just need to be patient & wait for the other shoe to drop to see what is going on with me. It's very tough just waiting, I was hoping the testosterone would help & I think it does with giving me the boost of energy but it has not fixed whatever is wrong, just gives me the energy to keep moving. I am or used to be very active, I played racquetball 2-3 days a week & went to the gym but now I just ride mountain bikes in the hills for my workouts which absolutely kicks my ass.
So I was getting frustrated & my old endo retired & I found a new one who ran labs on me they looked like this, I was dissapointed he didnt run a T3 with the other labs. So with that frustration I just said screw it & I dropped the T for one week which I thoroughly regret now.
