Nature Thyroid on TRT, does it increase SHBG?

My doctor told me after reviewing my labs, that my thyroid was in the lower range, so he wanted the thyroid at a higher level. The problem is that I have high SHBG around 50 to 55. I did read that Nature Throid will increase my SHBG even more. The article said that Hypothyroidism lowers SHBG, while Hyperthyroidism increase SHBG. Why I will want to increase my thyroid levels if I have problems with SHBG?. Should I change "Doctor" and go to someone that knows about hormones?

One should never sacrifice a fully functional thyroid, which isn't called the "master gland" for nothing, in order to manipulate SHBG levels. There are plenty of cases where hypothyroidism undermined all of a patient's TRT efforts. SHBG is one of those factors that simply "is" - a good doctor works both with and around it to design an appropriate protocol. Optimal thyroid function is a necessity.
